During a job interview, when is the best time to...?
I have had about 15 job offers since January, but in the end I always get denied due to my visa status, which expires in July. I've found people have a harder time saying no, once we've been through most of the process, but I feel bad for wasting their time. So now, I just let them know during the first time they contact me (usually phone interview).
Any advice? Or what's a good way to ask if the company sponsors, without just blurting it out?
Answer:
Never bring up negatives at an interview. Sell yourself then answer only when they ask the status.
Maybe s you shoudl put that on your resume, that way they knwo even if to contact you in the first place. Good Luck!
right in the beginning so they know that you dont have anything to hide from them and that you are honest
If your visa status expires, you should probably go home.
You just have to be honest upfront. Like you said, you don't want to waste anyone's time since some companies will not or do not sponsor visas. The reason they don't is because it costs a lot of money to sponsor someone so companies are very selective when it comes to sponsorships..good luck!
Don't bring it up unless they ask you..
But extend ur visa though because it is the right thing to do if u really want to work here
How hard is the process to extend your visa? Can you do it early? Perhaps they do not know the process themselves so may be Leary of it.
