Tips on moving to Abu Dhabi...?

hi!
my husband just moved to Abu Dhabi, and I will be metting him out there at the end of the summer term. It was all very rushed, which means we've had little time to get properly organised but we are keen to leave as few loose wires as possible behind us. I now have two months to ensure that our definate move is as smooth as possible... Does any one have any suggestions on "must Do s " before i go? Ie: paper work, loans settlements, contacting the embassies, recognition of marriage certificate...

Throughly understand the laws of Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is pretty liberal compared to many other Arab states but there are a few laws that might be very strange to you. I have been to the UAE and in general these people are very nice and welcoming to Americans, but just be mindful of their laws.
