Are people that live here illegally able to sign a Deed on property?

If you are not actually a citizen and have been here for a long time and you are not working on getting papers to become one, should you be able to own land here?

Answer:
There are many Illegals here in Florida that own property. All they needed was a tax id number...it is perfectly legal...and that is unfortunate...we need to take back our country now!
Can you yes, should you no
You shouldn't be able to but I know a few illegal immigrant families that own homes. They had to forge documents in order to do this of course. I wonder what will happen the day some American runs his social security number and finds out that he purchased a home in a state he's never even visited?
not legally..maybe the criminals do by using their fake documents.i hate illegals.ugh.go home you parasites
first question answer is Yes in California.
You should go to jail!
Whether it is enforced or not is a different story...but no, an illegal cannot sign a deed to property. Owning your own land may seem like a right to us here, but in a lot of other countries, you cannot own your own land. They do not have the right to own land here without citizenship here.
