What is the best way to have my girlfriend who isn't a U.S. citizen move here and find a job?
Answer:
If you legigimately feel like you're interested in marrying her and would do it even if she wasn't trying to move to the US, you may want to consider a K1 (fiancee) visa, which would allow her to move to the US, and marry you, apply for permission to work, and eventually obtain permanent residency and if she desired, citizenship. Marrying on a tourist visa is inadvisable-it can complicate the immigration process significantly, if USCIS believes that there is or was intent to marry on a tourist visa on arrival and it can lead to her being turned away at the border, or denied permission to stay.
Otherwise, she'll need to do what many oher people do-use job search websites and newspapers to find an employer willing to hire her, and to sponsor her visa.
Marry her and then have her apply for citizenship
Marry her then petition for her to get a green card.
Marry her on a friendly basis that is, so she could become a legal resident and after 2 yrs. she could apply for her citizenship.
Get a student visa to go to school near you, or another type of visa, or a green card. As soon as she's in the country legally, whether it's by a visa or green card, she can apply for an Individual Tax Identification Number (see link below) for tax purposes, and apply to a job just like any other person.
The fastest way, the cheapest way and about the only sure way is to get married to her. Otherwise, depending on what country she's from, it could take 20 years.
