we have actually significantly improved border security since then
at airports especially

you almost got it, the ones making the laws have personal gain or relitives have personal gain to allow them in to work for cheap labor and medicare makes money off it and so does the other agencies without them we would save billions on govenment offices and agencies and we could spend that on protecting our borders. but y would we do that
