They shouldn't be given priority simply because their country is too crowded, but there are millions seeking admission who have been persecuted for years. Nope, not for it at all. We need to know who is coming here and we need to be sure we are not creating a larger welfare state. We only want contributors, we have enough of the welfare suckers, in fact that field is over populated.

Mexico and Russia are no more crowded than America. Especially Russia. they have a far far thinner population than we do. Israel would have few problems if left alone by the Muslims.

I live in Arizona and I say no F-ing way! Every single day I see what these illegals do. They steal, they drain our resources, most of them don't speak a single word of English and give *US* attitude because we can't understand them, they get free healthcare benefits that people BORN here don't receive, they ruin our schools because teachers have to pay special attention to them because they don't understand English, and the list goes on and on. If you want our country to end up like theirs then sure, let them all in, but think about this: There is a REASON they all want to get out!

There's plenty of empty space, but plenty of resources and infrastructure. If immigrants brought with them the capital to develop the infrastructure they'd need, for instance, that might be valid - but that's not what happens. Immigrants typically bring only thier own labor potential, and it takes time to translate that into infrastructure, and capital to support it and maximize it's efficiency. Thus, immigrants cannot be accepted into the country just because there's enough empty space for them to stand in some desert region.
There is far more land in the deserts of northern Mexico than there is in the US. Why can't the Mexican government support them? Why do we have to support everyone?
We became the richest nation in the world by using our resources wisely and allowing the free market system to thrive. In the last 30 years or so we have been slowly taken over by people like you that think socialism is the best way to go and they want to give everyone anything they want.

I agree that US Immigration policies are too restrictive but I have problems with your argument. First of all, those countries do have problems, but it's certainly not due to overcrowding. You think Russia is crowded? Do you know what the population density of Siberia is? Like 1 person per thousand square miles.
Also, the issue in the US isn't room- it's xenophobia- people are scared of other people who are different, and their also scared of their way of life changing. It's also about resources- schools and emergency rooms aren't adequate for our current population.
So your telling us, that yes we can take care of all of the worlds poor. But on the other hand, why should we have to, whats wrong with each country taking care of its own poor.
Well I would like to answer your question! It's the illegals we have a problem with. They come to the busiest towns and look for work. Where I live we have little to no jobs left. I know because My son-in-law and I have been like for a job for more than 4 months.( we were layed off from our jobs in which they hired Hispanics in our place). It the fact that the use fake I.D and get jobs and welfare that people like my son-in-law paid taxes to be able to use.( welfare) Now that is layed off with no money other than a small drawing check. He was told no when he tried to get help to feed his kids. Reason 2 we were hit in the rear of our car by an illegal person who have no insurance and no proof of who he was, he got a ticket and drove his car home. We had a totaled car and 10,000 DOLLARS in hospital and doctor bill. Now that's 2 reason I say NO more. Let's go on in the town I live in we have not ever had gang problems until now. Most of the gangs are mostly Hispanics( most no all) and they just killed a 16 year old boy that had stop at a store. With out warning the hit him in the hit and shot him in the chest killing him. He was a well like young man, hope to play football in collage. I could go on and on but I hope you get my point. Most ( not all) will not obey the laws of this land. Do you really want this to keep going on and even get worst Think about what I have said and ask you self what if that was your child,your car, your 10,000 dollars you worked hard to get, then what would you think. That is, those that still have jobs, since as this goes on, jobs disappear, either right here where we get laid off, or the whole company moves out to a cheap labor country. And as the hordes make demands for energy needs, power needed to heat and light homes and buildings is insufficient, and cities black out, the demand for gas soars, heating prices skyrocket, and our own supply of gas becomes insufficient to meet our own needs, and we become victims of the arabs, who use the pumps to revenge our policies they don’t like.
They pile over the borders or by plane on visitor visas, preying on the good naturedness of Americans to provide a refuge for the oppressed, they connive the appearance of the downtrodden and persecuted, and then sit down comfortably and stay here, leeching off the health care system which faces bankruptcy in 20 years, the welfare system that us sucker u.s. taxpayers have to pick up the tab for, and which we spent decades to build.
