The economy is in good shape because they work for less money keeping prices at the market down.

Land around Big Bend (Texas/mexico border) that used to sell for more than $3500 per acre is down to about $200 per acre.
Economic inflation is down below most other countries, and you see more money in your pocket thanks to the cheap labor of immigrants.
The cheap work force is the only thing keeping our barely sustainable agricultural sector afloat.
Let's go back in time and ask the Confederacy. They made the same argument in support of slavery.
If you're an employer, you can pay dirt-cheap wages and treat the employees like dirt, too. You can lower the prices on your goods and services because of this and pass on the social costs to the taxpayers, who will provide your benefits package.

I like some ethnic foods and enjoy their art but the food isn't healthy.

I can turn on the TV and see art from around the world more easily than paying and traveling to see what is done by illegals.
If they were good at something, they wouldn't have to come here illegally to sell it. If Americans see something they want, they buy it!

NOTHING! Whatever tiny amount that they contribute to sales tax or property taxes (through rent) is dwarfed by the HUGE bill that is paid by the taxpayer! They are bankrupting this country.
Maybe produce is a few cents cheaper. BIG DEAL! I'd be willing to pay 5 cents more for a head of lettuce. (The $5 head of lettuce is a scare tactic and a myth. Labor is a tiny part of the cost.)

absolutely none. Some say they work cheap and it helps the ag industry. Well I am in ag and that is just not true. We have to negotiate with a contractor who represents a group or groups of workers and in the past 15 years at least we have not paid under the minimum wage. In fact it is always at least 50 cents above or higher. If you go to the library of congress website and read the numbers on illegal alians living here you will see they have always been a negative infulence on our economy by an average of 300 million a year and growing as they grow in number. They use our hospital emergency rooms and don't pay their bills and it has caused many hospitals around the country to close. Some really exploit the system I caught more than one working for us that was working full time, collecting disability under another name, welfare under a different name. Had a new truck and a van and a brand new home. I confronted him and told him what he was doing was wrong, he just laughed and when I threatened to turn him in which I did anyway he just disapeared. Probably to the next farm where he just picked up where he left off. Illegals have no conseption how this country became great, which is a bunch of different people from different countries working together under the laws to better themselves and strenghen this country by hard work and obeying the laws. To them this country is nothing more than a big open cookie jar and it's their right to take as many cookies from the jar as possible until it is empty. They have no allegence to this country and if left like it is and if this amnisty bill passes will drag this country down to a 3rd world status very soon.
