We didn't steal it we won it fair and square in a war. Therefore we set the norms that will be accepted not them.
Most countries were formed by land won and lost in wars. The Mexicans lost some and the Americans won and bought some land from them. The main issue though is not that Mexicans want the land itself, they have plenty of land in Mexico. What they really want is to justify there entitlement to be in that part of the country and benefit from the infrastructure created from the sweat, labor and creativity of the Americans. They don't have that on their land and no matter how much land you give them their culture will not engender a society that can sustain economically profitable infrastructures to benefit the masses of Mexicans..

You can't rest territorial claims in the past. We must live with the borders and citizenship we have now. If Mexico wants more territory, it will have to resort to military conquest, and fight the UN to keep any gains.

Mexico ceded the land to the United States under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo after we beat the crap out of them in the Mexican-American war of 1846-1848.

We won it fair and square. Just like my ancestors came to this country as immigrants the only difference with them was, they were legal; that's my only problem, yes all are welcome but, legally. As far as stealing land; ask one of our native american indians your question.
I don't believe US owes Mexico that land..It was over 150 years ago.One point I want to mention, that is NEVER mentioned is that Mexico was doomed from the beginning, they would have NEVER won that war..Weakened and virtually bankrupt from the Mexican War of Independence, the new Mexican government found it difficult to govern its northern territories, which were up to two thousand miles from the capital of Mexico City. What better time to come in and have land grab? But of course, to say it was stolen is not a gross observation..How would it be if China came in the US for a land grab when we are in the midst of a war with Iraq? How would we handle it?

That land was won in battles, and/or purchased. It belongs to the United States citizens. Besides that, we are talking over a hundred years ago, no one is alive that expierenced it, so because of that mexicans don't have a claim, unless there is a 200 year old mexican that can remember and testify and show proof that the land was wrongfully taken...

Many races of people have suffered from the backlash of wars from other countries throughout the world. The United States is no different in our war with Mexico. It's just that America became so relaxed & greedy in allowing so many immigrants to enter that now our government can't afford to support them all. The typical American worker was replaced and or out sourced many years ago. So anyone coming in now from land, sea, or plane is gonna have to follow our laws and wait in line like everyone else.
