Another question about anchor babies?

Will you really deport an "anchor baby" who has been here for over like 20 years and who speak english ONLY. (not his native language) and who has never been in the country where his mom or dad was born. Wouldn't you feel bad about that? isn't that the way in which our ancestors came in? especially africans who didn't speak english?

Answer:
Yes.

My ancestors came through Ellis Island LEGALLY.

Illegal MEANS Illegal.

Clarify the 14th Amendment to make a baby a legal US Citizen if one parent is a Legal US Citizen.

** To Monica why have LAWS?
Since they are an anchor baby they have a social and can stay. I'm sure they would be grandfathered in.
What on earth is the purpose of this question?

I would deport their parents if they were illegal, but a 20 year old born here is not going to be deported. However, we need to clarify the law going forward to stop this abuse of our system.
No, I wouldn't deport an "anchor baby", but I think it's high time to amend the constitution to strike that particular clause.

EDIT: Illegal acts can have unpleasant consequences. Pictures at eleven.
A product of an illegal immigrant who was born here and who is at the present time, age 18 or older can stay, the rest must go along with the parent/s.

It's time America stop being considered a free birthing HQ. Instruct these illegals in Spanish to go sneak into Guatemala and demand they support these welfare breeders. When American Citizens are paying the bills, they should have the right to say NO.
Uh. Monica?

Nobody, but NOBODY, is talking about deporting anchor babies. Anchor babies are U.S. citizens. They can't be deported.
They can't be deported if they're American citizens. I believe the current debate is whether their parents can or should be deported. This is especially offensive because some people in this country want to deport immigrants who have American citizen children under the age of 18. So, if the parents don't have any trusted friends or relatives who can care for their children in the United States, then it's either foster care or leaving the country. That's just ridiculous to me.
I wouldn't deport any of the current anchor babies, but I also would not give their parents permission to stay. I would close off the loophole that is being incorrectly used to give them citizenship. No more anchor babies. Is that fair enough?
Yes, I've actually seen children who were born in another country, but whose parent's brought them here at 1 be in situations where they are deported.

One girl had a full ride for college after earning a 98 GPA, (in NYS private schools can do what they want with illegal immigrants and thus many offer scholarships) didn't speak her native tongue and would go back to a life with no future. Luckily she got a really good immigration lawyer. There are plenty examples like her and these are NOT the dregs of society.
If the anchor baby speaks fluent English and has been Americanized his/her whole life, then deportation would be like exile. The anchor baby would have no problem applying for citizenship, so deportation shouldn't be necessary.

This is to say if neither of the parents were Americans.
Anchor babies are USA citizens can not be deported
So are you an Illegal. At one point your ancestors came here from across the way and also applied for citizenship. Just because they spoke a dialect of English doesn't meant they were American. So you are still and Illegal?

Odd question? Are you trying to report yourself?
if he was here or his parents here illegally then yes
You couldn't deport him because he was born here and has a SSN.

But like I said before, if a law passed that did away with citizenship rights of babies born to illegals, you would be able to deport him.
The 14th Amendment initially was to address issues brought to the forefront by the Dred Scott case.
It assured that the former slave population were granted full citizenship rights.
The U.S. citizenship status of children born in the United States to non-citizen parents has been generally accepted as settled law since 1898, when the Supreme Court held in U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark that ALMOST all such children were entitled to citizenship by the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution. Although efforts have been made in Congress, from time to time, to overturn the Wong Kim Ark ruling or limit its effect, via either a new amendment to the Constitution or ordinary legislation, no such attempt has ever succeeded.
Later bills passed by Congress cemented the policy leading to anchor babies. Perhaps it's time those laws were challenged for constitutionality. Nothing in the 14 th Amendment originally addressed the issue of children born to parents who entered the country illegally.
COME BACK IN LEGALLY AND THERE IS NO PROBLEM...

IMMIGRATION REFORM BILL MUST NOT PASS INTO LAW EVER!

Keep the pressure on..WRITE / CALL
www.congress.org

THINK ABOUT THIS AND ASK YOUR REPS ABOUT IT?

By the numbers if this bill passes:

12 million illegals will get amnesty AND so will extended family members ...sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles etc. in Mexico to come here.
Say there are only 5 in the extended family of each illegal here now [WE KNOW THERE ARE MANY MORE THAN 5] . that totals to 60 million more who can come here, granted amnesty and ultimate citizenship.

NO ONE IS ANSWERING THIS QUESTION:
How will they enforce this law?

Immigration Bill in Doubt After Vote

and this.
By a vote of 33-63, the Senate fell far short of the 60 votes that would have been needed to limit debate on the immigration measure and put it on a path to passage. Republicans—even those who helped craft the measure and are ultimately expected to support it—banded together to oppose that move, while a majority of Democrats backed it. Fifteen Democrats and Independent Sen. Bernard Sanders of Vermont, who is usually allied with their party, voted "no." http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=...

DON'T BACK DOWN.KEEP THE PRESSURE GOING!! NO AMNESTY EVER."FEDS" now!!

Fence - build entire length
Enforce - all laws on books
Deport - all illegals when found
Sanction - complicit employers

If people come here legally I don't have a problem. My great-grand parents arrived through Ellis Island in 1886 from Germany. They came in through legal channels, established residency worked hard as farmers in the late 1800s and early 1900s learned the language and educated their children.

Anchor babies do not give a person tacet rights to enter this country, If they come illegally the entire family should be given a one ticket back to their country of origin and told if they wish to return to the US they must apply for the appropriate entry papers, and adhere to US law. Knowingly violating immigration law nullifies the 14th Amendment.

I also believe if a person is to become a citizen one manditory requirement should be "SPEAKING ENGLISH". We are not Mexico city and I damned sure am sick of seeing small towns in our country beginning to look like mexican towns.

-- Edit -- Marl, I've called one of my Senators, one is clearly against this bill the other a RINO is acting along the RINO line.. He and McCain are butt buddies so it doesn't surprise.

What part of ENFORCE the laws we already have do THEY NOT UNDERSTAND??

it's time to give the whole lot pink slips in 2008. Vote for real conservatives like Tancredo and Ron Paul.
No, you must have gotten a green card before you went to work. Everyone comes to America, but they did it legally. Some even kissed the ground when they came thru Ellis Island. They didn't demand we change our language, they worked and supported their families, the best they could. Legally.
