Is anything in life more important than money?

Illegal immigrants effect more than just our pockets, but I hardly see that discussed. What about population, environment and education? Each new person here requires new roads, housing, hospitals, and schools to support the growing population. That's more cars on the road, more trash in our landfills, an added burden on water and air pollution. We cram our children into overcrowded classrooms where they do not get the individual attention needed for a successful education. Can we support such a rapidly growing population? Is sacrificing the education of children and further destroying the environment really affordable?

Answer:
Now you're getting the picture. When have you seen a Mexican or Hispanic female who is not pregnant? Why do you think they are so willing to have babies? Aide to dependent children. Money. Actually, the citizens of the United States deserve to have the lifestyle they've worked years to build. With the constant influx of illegal immigrants and them having babies and filling our schools and our towns with their illegal activities, we law-abiding citizens see only higher taxes and higher expenses as a result of these multiplying illegal immigrant children. Remember that the children born on US soil are now citizens and can take over the country someday. What have they learned except to lie, cheat and steal and enslave the law-abiding people? We don't have the resources to support the exploding population of illegal immigrant babies (children born to illegal immigrants on U.S. soil). 55% of the children born in the USA in 2005 were Hispanic or Latino and the majority of them were born to illegal immigrants. That came from their own studies and reports. They're proud of the fact that they've snowed the people and that they have been able to prey on our sympathies. Sooner or later the well will run dry and the U.S. law-abiding citizens are already feeling the effects of the drought. We must stop it before it strangles the country.

Question: Is anything in life more important than money?

My Answer:

For some people no.
For others yes.

No absolutes here.
Illegals dont create air pollution since they dont own a car. stop blaming others for your problems
In response to your question, we are cheating our children and the tax payers by allowing these criminals to stay in this country.
I am a teacher education major. Even though I am minoring in English guess what, I get to take Spanish as well. Know why? Because by the time I get in front of my class 20-30% of my students won't speak English. So I effectively have to teach in two languages.

Yeah and we think our teachers are taxed now and we are in a budget crisis. Wait until you ask someone else to do their job in two languages simultaneously and pay less than 30K.

Not to mention, what about teaching in one language, teaching those students the one language so everyone can communicate? Yeah, I thought that made sense. Apparently to most every school system in the country it does not. They want to cater. Make the English speaking American students suffer (an education by the way their parents pay for with their tax dollars)

Whole thing makes me furious. While on one hand I want to teach these children a language so that they can get along in this country I am effectively being told NO, that is their parents job. But it is my job to learn their language.
You're right, there are more important things in this issue than money. We probably could support a growing population, but not if uncontrollable amounts of people are walking over the border.
No money really isn't that important has long as your basic needs are met. I know that to be true after experiencing 52 years of life. A good education is very important to give you self confidence and to teach you to think on your own. My son is 31 years old and I thought the schools were horrible when he was a student. I can't imagine what they are like now.

Yes enforcing immigration laws, without that soon only illegals will have money.
Obviously not to illegals immigrants.
Is anything more important than money? That was the question. Yes. Living with a healthy body and not having pain. Living a life filled with peace and joy. Knowing you are loved and can love others. Knowing and being loved by God. I have seen dirt poor people who have the above listed qualities and they are happier than people with money. Some of them I saw living dirt poor in Mexico. Perhaps we have overshopped the American dream with our unrealistic hollywood films. There is so much dissatisfaction with life especially in the United States because we all compare our lives to too much fiction. Seems like most of us in the US can't get enough to make us happy. Get thinner, get more money, get a bigger house, get a bigger car. Where does it end? Yes, there are lots of things in life more important than money.
This is a very good question. I agree with everything you said and feel the same way. I wish I had a solution to the problem, clearly there is one.
those immigrants already started a life here. what do you want to run them out? do you want them to die? they are trying to survive because they can't back home and because to become a legal it costs a lot and it's difficult.
Unrestricted immigration is a huge mistake. It would overwhelm our infrastructure and public services. We can't afford this. We must restrict legal immigration, discourage illegal immigration in order to absorb and naturalize new arrivals orderly and competently. Also, illegal aliens should be restricted from using public services and acquiring legal documents. But it's unrealistic to try to deport them all, so we will have to accommodate a few million of them. Hopefully, we've learned the need to secure our borders and do a better job of screening candidates for naturalization.
