The overall quality of life in Mexico is horrible for the vast majority of the population. They see sneaking into the USA as there only chance at a decent future. The government of Mexico is completely corrupt and does not care about the citizens of Mexico. They would rather export the poor to the USA and not have to worry about doing anything themselves.

Ever hear the term cartel? Or remember the old caste system from Mideveal England? Yeah, still in effect in Mexico. The rich get richer, the poor stay poor. So they come to America cause we're just dying to give them everything we've got.
Uh, when's the last time Bill Gates or some other wealthy person paid your bills? I'm guessing never. If having a relatively few super rich people would eradicate poverty, the US wouldn't have such large numbers of homeless people and working poor families.
Mexicans (and others) want to immigrate to improve their families economic standing and to find opportunity.
Did you also know that Mexico is the 3rd largest supplier of oil for the US? That Canada is the no.1 supplier and Venezuela the 5th? Look it up. While most Americans are led to believe that they rely on the Middle East for their oil, 3 out of the 5 top oil supplier for the US are in the Western Hemisphere.
If there are such misconceptions about your own economy, maybe there are misconceptions about many other things. About Mexico, for instance. Illegal border crossings only became a problem since tha NAFTA agreement. During and after WWII, the US government had a policy for Mexican workers called the Bracero Program, where they brought Mexican workers without proper documentation to the US temporarily for cheap labor and then sent them back.
There is something called causes and consequences. You cannot fully understand the problems of the world around you if you do not trace them back to their cause.

Hell yeah, I have been trying to boycott all Mexican products and American retailers that employ illegals. A country that has such rampant poverty and yet can also produce the richest man in the world has some serious problems.
In the 1950's the goverment need workers so they opened a BRACERO PROGRAM which allowed mexicand to come and work and help this country moving. So they came here with their wifes and had kids this kids were citisens and their kisd had kids and kids all of them citizens you see. Also in the 1986 the farmers need farmer works and in other areas. So it allowed more illgal mexicans, germens, and all the races to work here. CAuse they were needed, because nobody was doind the jobs so immigrants will do it thats why thse country has alot of immigrants not just from mexico. When the oroginal mexicans came in the 50's they had citisen kids and thse kids had kids and kids. SO now these citizens have famelie in mexico and tell them hey come they need a worker in a comstruction or in a farm. WE americans wont do this job just 3 percent work in farms the rest are immigrants. If it werent for his immigrants we would have to go and pick out our own tomotoes, corn and agriculturel
