If a European Union-citizen (Romanian) marries a Mexican woman, what would her legal status in the EU be?

No insulting answers, please.

Answer:
I would assume she would have to apply to Romania to get any type of permanent residence or visa etc. That is how it is in every country I know of including the UK and US. Many countries make you do this before the person moves to that country. Check with the Romanian immigration to get the best information. Good luck
well if the Mexican woman is not a legal USA resident,, i guess the same status,, a Romanian married to a Mexican, sorry but i think you are missing info. Do you know if they have a valid visa for the USA?
i think she will be eligible to file for the permanant residence status
but i suggest u refer to the EU immigration guidelines
where do they plan on living? in the EU then she would still be a citzen of the EU. if bother mexico and romanina allow dual citzen ship then she may be able to become a citezn of both
Well as far as I know Spain is part of the European Union so you might just have to register in Spain, you know register the marriage under the Spaniards Laws,, It would be better for you to research it on the net,, Good Luck!!
