What are your views on illegal immigration?
Answer:
I actually wrote an English paper on that too bad I don't know where it is. Anywho, I have friends who have come to this Country legally by Visa or by getting their citizenship. I know that they are extremely mad because they had to work hard to come to this country and they had to work hard to stay. It makes me mad when illegal immigrants come to the US and throw their trash everywhere, burn my flag and say how horrible the US is. Well if its that bad why don't you go home?At school kids will say, "Everyone hates me because I'm Mexican" and then they'll start talking about how much better Mexico is and yadda yadda but maybe if they change their adittudes and try because I haven't seen anyone try and earn my respect. You can't take respect you have to earn it. My friend's mom is a nurse and she said that there was a very poor American family that needed to go to the doctor's and they turned them away but then an illegal family came in and they gave them help. Why do we help other nationalities but when it comes to our own people, we turn them away? Well, I know this is a very touchy subject and I'm sorry if I affend anyone but thats what I think so...
My views are that it is ILLEGAL!
I beleive that illegal activities should be punished.
Agreed. What's so confusing about "illegal?"
Illegals take BILLIONS of dollars out of our economy EVERY YEAR.
Deport
It took my friends dad 11 years to become a legal citizen. The immigrants that are coming over here now just want to make money and send it back to mexico.
If it's illegal, it's bad news. If you can't go through the due process of becoming an american citizen then what could you possibly have to contribute to an american society.
I think it's wrong because it's illegal and they in essence cut in line in front of people that are trying to get into American legally.
I see NO reason to reward them for breaking the law.
The only thing I'll agree to is that illegal is illegal, just like wingshooter08. Any more and I will have angry answerers on YA cussing at me, regardless of which side I'm on.
I do hope you receive good answers.
SWEETIE IF YOU THINK THAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T OFFER THEIR OPINION ON THIS MATTER YOU HAVEN'T BEEN HERE LONG. NO ILLEGAL PERIOD. IT'S EITHER LEGAL OR PRISON.
Illegal emigration is Illegal, who does Illegal things should be punished
I am sorry but I feel that illegal immigration is not good for this country
My opinion is that people who enter this country are criminals and should be treated as such. If laws are passed which gave them the ability to enter the country legally then I would observe that law even though I did not agree with it.
I am totally and unequivocally against illegal immigration.
The US needed mass LEGAL Immigration a 100 years ago to fill her shores, man her factories.
The US is overcrowded now.
Illegal Aliens are Illegal Invaders.
Btw---There is NO such thing as Illegal Immigration. Immigration implies Legal Citizenship.
Sovereignty is NOT Racism.

My view on illegal immigration is just that. Its illegal and we aren't doing anything about it. If you want to better your life, then do it legally. Its not gonna do any good if it is all illegal. I think that if you move here you should speak our language, have to pay taxes just like us, and not whine and cry about every little thing that we do wrong to you. They came here "illegally" why should they have all our "legal" rights. I think that is is crap the the legals are becomeing the minority to the "illegal aliens". ITS ILLEGAL.
No to illegals
VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS
We need to take the whole plan back to formula. Round up every single illegal and get them out. Then give those who want to come here to benefit the nation the chance to come here legally. I have a few more solutions. One is manifest destiny. We take control of Mexico, take all the mexican oil to remedy a problem of our own. Add some stars to our flag. My final solution involves landmines along the southern border.
Yeh.
I don't care if people come here and work,as long as they don't bother anybody.
Tax cheets don't bother me.
Taxes bother me.
They need to go home. We are paying more in taxes to cover them. Wouldn't you rather give that money you are spending on them to your family or yourself?!
That many people will be happy after the immigration reform gets approved. Those who have to be here will stay, and those who don't, won't.
People complain about "illegals" and repeat it like a song that they don't understand, but now that the senate is working on it, they complain too. I think that those complainers are losers.
they should try to get here legally not just come here and take jobs from peopel who are citizens, because thats not fair, illegals shouldnt be coming in here illegelay and doing whatever they want because theyre not wanted here illegally,
I've spent time in villages in Oaxaca, Mexico. I would do anything short of violence to another person to get to the U.S. if I were born in those circumstances. However, I'm tired of illegal aliens draining our social services and getting into hit and run accidents here in Texas, because they don't want to get caught. There is no nice answer. Since I am selfish, and I would like America to be the best that it can be, I have to side against illegal aliens.
I have nothing against imigrants, but the new imigration laws that Bush wants passed are a joke...practically making it easier for latin american imigrants to gain citizenship. Just because you are right next door it shouldn't be any easier for them.
I sponsored a close family friend to come to the US from china 2 years ago.we are still getting the runaround. She is an 85 year old woman who wants to come here to spend her last days with family members!! Bullshit.
In some states, illegal immigrants make up at least 50% of the work force, doing most of the jobs most Americans never want. Some people say that they're stealing most of our jobs, when in reality, they aren't stealing that much. Who here ever wanted a job picking cherries or cleaning up at McDonalds? They also work for minimum wages and some of them even work for less money, which helps keeps the costs down. If we paid a worker minimum wage to pick oranges, think about how much we would have to pay to buy one. We usually pay them well below the minimum wage to keep the costs down and they will usually do it. Would you work for 2 cents an hour? I don't think so. Also, most of the jobs are coming out of the country as well. If you think about all the phone jobs, most of the people who do them are in India and not in the US, so tehy aren't really stealing our jobs, we're giving our jobs to them because it is cheaper. Even thogh, its illegal, illegal immigrants help America's economy grow, by doing jobs cheap, so we can sell thinsg at a higher price and make a profit. Without them, prices may rise, and companies will have to sell things at a higher price just to earn profit. In the end, even if they're sending money back, most families will just move here when they get enough money, and will probably get their citizenships here as well.
I think there should be tighter border patrol because the drug cartels and terrorist are a big threat to our safety. There should be rigorous testing on citizenship and a quota of only 100,000 new citizens per year. There should also be mass deportations of gang members and useless immigrants who don't work or pay taxes. Bilingual education should be an option but not a requirement. Also there should be strong regulation against illegals having vehicles and there should be heavy taxing on what they send back home. About 5 percent of what they send should go to the US government and there should be zero tolerance laws against them which means if they are convicted of a violent or serious offense they should be deported immediately with their own wage. But we should encourage illegals to work, be ideal citizens and try to get citizenship.
NO HUMAN BEING IS ILLEGAL!!
"E Pluribus Unum", out of many- one. Isn't that what this country supposedly stands for? You all talk about "illegal Immigration" as if it is some sort of crime. First of all pals, no it is not a crime, it is not currently punishable by law, you just get deported, thus making it harder for you to enter the states with legal status in the future.
Something that y'all may or may not be aware of is that the border is not like an amusement park ride line you just get in line in and wait till it's your turn. The reality is that there are a certain number of visas which are offered to foreing countries. The priority is not set for family unification, rather for people with professional degrees. Needless to say, families want to be united, not divided and if a migrant enters the country "legally" they will do all they can to get their family to join them. If this means to enter "illegally" so be it.
The people making these journeys are well aware of the dangers which they are facing, including death. I don't believe people would risk their lives simply to come take advantage of the system in the US which by the way, isn't that great.
Here are some of the crazy myths that many believe, possibly even you.
Immigrants don’t pay taxes:
All immigrants pay taxes, whether income, property, sales, or
other. As far as income tax payments go, sources vary in their
accounts, but a range of studies find that immigrants pay
between $90 and $140 billion a year in federal, state, and local taxes. Even undocumented immigrants pay income taxes, as evidenced by the Social Security Administration’s “suspense file” (taxes that cannot be matched to workers’ names and social security numbers), which grew $20 billion between 1990 and 1998.
Immigrants send all their money back to their home countries
In addition to the consumer spending of immigrant households, immigrants and their businesses contribute $162 billion in tax revenue to U.S. federal, state, and local governments. While it is true that immigrants remit billions of dollars a year to their home countries, this is one of the most targeted and effective forms of direct foreign investment.
When you see a McDonalds or a Wal-Mart in a foreign country, don't be fooled into thinking that the country is becoming "Americanized" or "sophisticated." American capitalists are making more money off these establishments than the country in which they stand.
Furthermore, the US economy needs "illegal" immigrants to keep for its survival. They fill jobs which the natives shun down for lower wages. Do you truly think that the US government can't find these people? Sure they can, they know exactly where many are yet they do nothing about them because they know they are beneficial to this country.
I perhaps just wasted much of my time on this response. I hope that this will help at least inspire one of you out there to become a more critical thinker as opposed to being the consumer "knowledge" that the media and elite would like for you to be.
Well: according with the " U.S Department of Immigration we
suggest that all Mexco People must have proof that they want
to become American Citizen but first sign Documents after
6 month visit here only can work part time only if they know about Alggiculture Program in helping Fammers to grow good Crops as today National Green Earth Peace Core Organization "
I'm very upset about illegal immigration. Every country has a right, and a duty, to control the flow of people across its borders, and except for extreme cases (such as war or famine) it's hard to find a precedent for what's happening here in the U.S. - it's also hard to find an excuse for it. Our current laws need to be enforced, even if Congress is considering a new bill. We can pass all the bills we want, but without enforcement, they will be as ineffective as the current law.
You mention the part about money - the numbers don't favor amnesty. With our country running huge deficits and fighting a war, it doesn't seem like the time for such an expensive program. And there's never a time to violate our laws! So unless serious studies are done that show the pros of amnesty outweigh the cons, I wouldn't consider it. But we also cannot afford to ignore problems elsewhere in the world - I'd like to see our government exert pressure on the Mexican government (not forgetting other Central American governments), in order to get them to improve conditions in their own countries for working-class people. Major pressure, even to the point of supporting their removal if they don't clean up their act. Of course, the Bush administration sides with the elites who run those places, so it would probably involve his removal, too.
But getting back to your question, we simply can't afford the cost of absorbing a milllion new arrivals every year, which has been happening since 1986. Until someone produces valid numbers that contradict me, I will support whatever it takes to discourage illegal immigration: deportation; a wall; stiff fines and prison sentences for illegal aliens, as well as for those who hire them and rent to them; and any other creative suggestions for their ouster.
Seriously, they say we are like racist..
They come here without the proper papers and passports, how would u expect themselves be treated..
It is unfair to other immigrants to waited years for their papers just to come work here to change their lives..!
IT IS WRONG OBVIOUSLY since u call them "illegal immigrants"..
it's their own fault, don't blame our politicians and call them racist..
It is their choice to come here illegally so now they have to pay for it when they get caught.
why would they sneak up coming here?..They must have been thinking that what they are doing is wrong..but in the end they end up hating on us..
BS...complete BS..
coming here illegally is not a crime but a complete disrespect to the laws of this country...
I now this land does not belong to Whites but without them we would not want to come here..They improved this country and made it flourish..
Since we are not back in those days where u can just hop on your boat and settle to a land, then we must do the proper thing in order for us to settle here LEGALLY.
Doesn't everyone need a passport to come here?ofcourse yes then there you go...it's not like we are bullying on them but they do not think before they act...
Peace out...
