As a Legal permanent resident of the US, do I need a re-entry permit if I leave the US for a month?

I just received my LPR card and are going to China for a month. Do I need to apply for a I-131 re-entry permit?

Answer:
Being a permanent resident of the US, you can travel without restraint. To re-enter, all you need is your green card and your passport from your country of citizenship for readmission if your trip is less than one year.

Have a great time visiting China.**
No as long as your green card do not expire in that month and have a valid passport
Nope. If you intend to return within a year, you do not need any permit. Longer than one year, unless you obtain a permit (I forgot the exact name of this permit), INS can consider, you have forfeited your residency.
No, you need re-entry permit if you stay abroad for more than 1 year.
