Theoretically, immigration numbers are controlled to keep the population growing at a slow, steady rate. Unfortunately, those disrespecting our laws and coming in without due process and waiting are throwing the numbers way out of control. Actual births of children to U.S. citizens is much lower than it used to be, as many couples are now opting for no or smaller families. I honestly think that if we get tighter control of who is coming across our borders, we will be better able to stop the population explosion.
Well, not really. As more immigrants move into the U.S., some are moving out, some are being deported. You should also look up the mortality rate in the United States. I don't think that the population will get out of control.
Your question/statement is not very realistic. You didn't provide any examples of what you considered "growing out of control."
Any effort at "population control" in this country would go over like a lead balloon.
