If someone has Irish citizenship via post nuptual declaration can they work legally in the UK?

if they have since separated from thier spouse and now wish to move to the UK?

Answer:
if your irish then yes... you're european so can work and live anywhere in the eu
Don't let it be said that membership of the European Union doesn't have some fringe benefits. The ability for all citizens of member countries to freely live and work in other member countries is one of them. Of course you are allowed to work here - assuming they have an EU passport.
try the US, they loved the IRA
yes Eire is an EU nation hence an Irish citizen may enter and work in the UK freely for an unlimited length of time
