if your talking about Britain you should know that it is in fact a pretty small country with a huge population of it's own with a smaller land mass. I'm in Canada and we have a huge land mass with only around 30 million people, we can afford the space to have a generous immigration policy and in fact welcome the added tax payers. Britain on the other hand has had problems with overcrowding before, look to their history..since the middle ages they have had problems with plague spreading, unsanitary water, and an overloaded sewage system. Also alot of the immigrants they are getting do not identify with being British or wish to fit in, the segregate themselves from society and then some of their disenfranchised young decide to blow up the subways, in effect pissing on the people who took their families in. I understand why they are weary.

What about the size of the countries, China and America are huge in comparison to the UK.
Plus the UK has had a declining population and an ageing one for many years.
On a side note, did you know that in China you have to get a sort of ticket from their Government to have a child as they limit the number you can have so their population doesn't grow too large.

Yo, on a side note - check out China's one-child law a little closer. The wealthier members can actuallyhave multiple children, but they're forced to pay extra for their healthcare, their education.....things like that.

I remember years ago they drilled it into us about the world population and how important it was to control the number of children you had and could afford. So while some of us did our part in that endeavor....way too many more kept shooting them out by the dozens and not being able to care for them. Now I realize, since I'm in that "aging" group.....I already have my 2 "replacement" people. I had my children late. They are at the point to beginning their adult life fully educated as I'm ready to pass the torch on. Instead, the mass migration and even more illegal mass migration has put them at more a disadvantage than I had. They act like once us "boomers" finally die off.....all will be well. Sorry guys...there aren't all THAT many of us. Most did have children so there's not a "shortage" of people to make-up for our deaths. My children are more educated than I was and they are being pushed out of the picture by all those who weren't concerned about overpopulation or education and now are being told they are going to become extinct because they didn't "breed enough". Doesn't make an ounce of sense to me. We aren't moving forward.....we're moving backwards. People look at a blade of green grass and figure we can hold a few million more.....I mean there's a bit of space. That "space" was farm land for either growing food or raising livestock etc. With that gone....where do all these great breeders think their futures food is comming from? Part of any land mass is necessary for alot more than just to stack a few more people on. They are turning the balanced civilized areas into 3rd world ruin. I'm not too keen on the idea of sleeping with my livestock just so we don't starve. I don't want my country turning into the places these people are fleeing from while we're encouraged to embrace all these 3rd world cultures. I figure if it was all that great and working.....they wouldn't be comming here or other places who worked at maintaining a balance. Our "quality of life" is very quickly being ruined while they're continuing their 3rd world mentality and behavior.

So its not a crime to try and make a better life for yourself and your family, the one difference between us and the rest of the world is, no other country give away so much as us, and that is one of the reasons so many want to come here. The one other factor is this is a small country and its near to bursting point, take a look at the price of housing, the state of the road systems and of course the poor old National Health which is at the point of collapse, no matter how much money is poured into it.
