Should an immigrants future be dictated by his or her past?
If you choose a life of crime, you'll surely end up in jail, or somewhere equivalent to the energy of your actions be it positive or negative.
Answer:
Of course it should. A legal immigrant has passed the screening procedures. They generally abide by the laws and progress to citizenship.
Illegal aliens should not receive any future rewards after entering this nation illegally, living each day here illegally, stealing identities or using fake documents. They are no better than any other identity thief, or fraud.
As the old saying goes, if you can't do the time, don't the crime. New saying, If you don't want deportation, don't be illegally in my nation.
Illegals understand right and wrong. They understand once they come across the border a crime has taken place and more follow with the fake documents.
you never heard of a fine?
An immigrant is no different than anyone else. Our pasts do have influence on our futures. We can overcome our past with hard work and dedication, but it is not easy.
An resident of the U.S. has their future dictated by their past all the time. For example, a convicted child molester cannot work with kids. I don't see why immigrants should be exempt from this.
I partially disagree with your dissertation...Our future isnt dictated just by past actions, but the actions we take today, or each day...Each day a Illegal wakes up inside our borders he/she is waking up a criminal...they wont wake up tomorrow being as white as the driven snow, because they are STILL illegal...
EDIT- hey Petey, do you think we should FINE Zina Linniks illegal alien murderer?? I dont think so...
Yes, a criminal record will disqualify a person to immigrate.
There are things that we can carry on w/ us in our future, even if how negative it maybe,we have to resolve it w/ an open mind.remember in every problem there is always a solution to it
we have to decide wisely so nothing is left to follow us in the future,I hope these can enlighten you
to your question, not your statement.
yes it should
