Foreign doctors (rejected by other countries) taking jobs here while UK trained doctors can't get work! Why?!
The NHS then gave them jobs in preference to the many out of work doctors who have been trained over here at the expense of the tax payer. This makes no sense! Does anyone know why?

The problem is with Tory cutbacks last time they were in charge left a huge void in the profession.
Labour invested lots of money training new doctors but training takes at least six yrs i believe, this means the void was filled by foreign doctors and nurses.
The problem lies in that you cant just sack all the doctors that came here, in order to give newly qualified british doctors a job.

Bad policy decisions by people who (1) either don't know what they are doing, or (2) are so eager to please everybody and not offend anyone they cannot say no even to the most obvious loser.
This is the price you pay for stupid people making stupid decisions.
They do these things due to the liberalization of policy. Fear of offending the Muslims and silly "minority opportunity" preferential treatment.
But they get what they deserve. In time, the "everything is OK" attitude must change and the Muslim people be scrutinized more rigidly. Otherwise, expect more of these types of incidents.

This country tries to be politically correct but ends up a laughing stock, the UK lets anyone in now, take jobs because they work for less money, right at this time the UK is the worst place to be in my opinion.

Did you not know that Bliar was in charge for the past 10 years? He put management consultants in charge of the NHS (continuation of Tory policies). Then they came up with the MTAS system for allocating jobs. It didn't even take into account the applicants' grades. We have a mickey mouse system for appointing our doctors. Thankfully, some hospitals are doing their own thing and devising a sensible solution apart from MTAS.

Every organisation, especially government bodies, have to meet their quotas on employing people from different ethnic backgrounds. You must have heard the police, the firebrigade and most recently, the MI5, that they particularly wanting to hear from ethnic minority applicants. It seems that meeting these allocated percentages or quotas overthrows the fact that the people they hire may not be adequate enought within that profession. Having said that, if you ever go to a GP in another European country, you'll be suprised by the level of care they give you compared to GPs in the UK. I think European doctors are much better regarding professional skills, people management and experience than UK doctors. So I'm in favour of employing them but not these terrorists.
It is of eminence that one updates his information so as to formulate formidable opinions about what one intends to opine about. What is happening is simple enough for any prudent inquirer to understand. Foreigners are preferred to nationals in any country because, unlike the concerned country's nationals, they are hard-working, willing to work long and abnormal hours and to spice it all up, they are willing to do so for very low wages. Secondly, the foreigners are not offered the powerful British pound in their respective countries and so it becomes relatively easier for them to abscond their countries and go to the UK. The same applies to teachers and other professionals. In UK teachers ans nurses compare their wages with other UK professionals and see that they are earning peanuts while the foreigners compare their current wages in their respective countries with that which they are proffered in the UK. So it becomes logic for them to choose UK and equally logic for the UK government to employ them and, regretfully or lamentably, exploit them.
At the end of the day it always comes down to money. Usually they work longer, harder and for less money. But when will the government start to realise that it is false economy.
Yes not all of the immigrants are terrorists it is only a small minority, but think of the cost of extra security, not to mention potential loss of lives. It would work out cheaper to pay the extra for British workers and feel a little safer.
The whole thing could be a frame job- the Sicko Conspiracy. By showing that UK doctors aren't what we think they are the wonderful image of universal health care looks a bit worse. Could the doctors be victims of a conspiracy to tarnish UK healthcare?

this country is full of people whod rather suck up to any old immegrant than stick up for brits
it makes sence if you see this as a nation of traitors, fishermen, sabotaged,farmers sabotaged,motor industry sabotaged, the list is endless, the working people have been crying out for years, i am so glad they are now sabotaging the profesions, the more they sabotage native britons the closer we get to everybody waking up realising treatury against the brits is afoot, we are a nation of surrenderers, all p.c. and no guts.they get you pigeon hole by pigeon hole, and wipe you out, one industry at a time one profesion at a time, its been going on now for about 45 years all profesions are being demoralised inc police military teachers, the gov are waging war against us, can you not see.demoralising people in our own land by our own gov is an act of war.

Equal opportunities, the NHS is like all large organisation in this country, and must be seen giving equal opportunities, never mind about the cost of training, and the more suitability for someone from this country to do the job, it just shows how crazy this country has got, and its all to do with P.C. crazy,crazy,crazy.
It does boil down to accepting cheap labour from anywhere, undermining the British labour force, and at times putting the public in danger. All to balance the books? Both ethnically and monetarily?
But does it balance if it puts people on the dole. As for the assertion from one answer that Foreigners are harder working, than the British. I resent that greatly, I have worked hard all my working life, not often got any acknowledgement for it, and find that I'm being undercut by some economic immigrant who doesn't know the job half as well as me.
Angry, well work it out for yourself why me, and so many people who answer these questions, seem to come over that way!
