30,000 legal resident aliens are in the Armed Forces fighting in Iraq. Most of them are Mexicans. Should their application for citizenship take precedence over the business person's application for citizenship who has been in the country legally10 years or more?

It does take priority. They can get quickly naturalized after a tour in a combat zone. Some of them even become eligible while still in Iraq. They have a ceremony and swear them in right there.
