How long does it take to get a foriegn spouse a K3 visa?

I have been married to a Guatemalan woman for 6 months and have a residence and sufficient income in the US. We lived together in Guatemala for 6 months but now are seperated because I have to have a residence and job here in order to petition for her to join me.

Answer:
Right now it is taking about the same length of time (one year) to get the K-3 as it is to get the CR-1, so you are better off using the CR-1 process since your wife will not have to do anything else after arriving in the US - the green card will be processed automatically.
as long as you got room on your visa you should be able to buy a mail order bide no problem.
A K3 Visa takes around a year if both people were in the USA and around two years if the recipient is based abroad.

These are current estimates and are subject to other factors like if you have been married less than 5 years you will be issued a temporary K3 Visa that lasts for 2 years.
