There's no national language in America, so I don't have a problem with people speaking other langauges. I think learning Spanish would be great. I'm picking up a little at a time from my daughter's children's shows (Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer...). If I worked at a store and someone came in who didn't speak English, I'm sure I could figure out what they wanted, and maybe I'd learn something too.
So I think the first one is fine. I guess if people want to set up little elitest towns like that to exclude certain people, I can't stop them. But I'd prefer we all just lived together.
I prefer all immigrants learning English and becoming members of our society. This is America. We speak English. If you want to live in the "Land of Opportunity", you must also become an American. If this is not acceptable, go home.

I am already used to Mexicans being in my stores and offices and not speaking English.
I haven't nor have my neighbors had to learn Spanish yet.

Chances are really slim that anyone in in my neighborhood would ever dream of making the natives learn a foreign language because of an immigrants failure to learn the language of the country they chose to enter (knowing this country speaks English)

Are Mexicans too stupid or too lazy to learn English? Other nationalities can and do learn English. Is it your claim that Mexicans lack the brain capacity to learn another language? any person going to a country other then their own should learn the language of that country so they are able to communicate with people. if i was to go to Mexico for a visit i would learn the language so i can understand them and they could understand me. to much hate here, that's why i don't come on much anymore.
