Should Chertoff and Bush be tried for treason for their intentional refusal to enforce our nation's laws?

"We're going to put pressure on Congress, not to stop a bill, but to demand that Congress launch an immediate investigation into the White House to determine what criminal prosecutions may be warranted relating to not enforcing our existing laws," he said.

"It's not for the president to decide what laws to obey or enforce. That's not what presidents do. That's what kings do," he said.

Answer:
Thing is that you forget is that this isnt just a "Bush" problem democrats and republicans alike are putting on a so called "show" before nomination of a new president because quite simply this is an issue the "american people" want solved and we demand it. However this is just a show no president wants to see us enforce the law because this paticular law would in there "eye" slow big buisness. Thats the shame about it there will be many people who will vote democrat just because of this issue however they are so misinformed of the truth. AND THE TRUTH IS NEITHER PARTY WANTS TO SEE IT DONE SO IT IS UP TO US TO CONTINUE THE PRESSURE!!!!
You make quite a compelling case. He should enforce the laws passed or step aside and let someone in who will.
Yes, they should be. Neither one should be in the position that they are in. Chertoff is such a tool to begin with...when he told the people who are under him (which means ALL our intelligence and FEMA among a few) that they answered DIRECTLY to Mexico and Canada and NOT the American Citizens, sent in a memo in Sept. of 2005, was the point that he should have been tossed out on his ear!
I think that anyone who sells secrets to other countries, corporations who Outsource and take their businesses to other countries, and politicians and Bankers who are selling pieces of America (its borders and Sovereignty) to Foreign countries, should all be tried for Treason. Also, any politician who takes money away from Americans and gives it to illegal Immigrants should also be tried for Treason because they betrayed America, its People, the Constitution, and our Forefathers..

NOTE: Treason is punishable by Death and is the Worst crime you can commit in America because you are a Traitor...You commited a crime against 260 million Americans!!
Yes I believe we should. Those two bozos are also citing the concerns of securing our borders because of 9/11. Yet are unwilling to do just that when it comes to the borders between the U.S. and Mexico.
Your average local bigot tolerated the criminal activity of U.S. businesses inviting and hiring undocumented workers for generations, which was done to avoid having to pay U.S. workers a decent and legal wage. If that criminal, UnAmerican practice was so OK with bigots all along, what are they all whiney about now? Republicans have NEVER respected the law, certainly not when it comes to paying U.S. workers a legal and decent wage. Bigots are getting exactly what they deserve. LOL. Read this article and learn:

I think so.
Yes they should be tried for that. I am a pissed off republican .
Ditto.
Oh yes without a second thought.
