Being in the States illegally make you automatically stupid?
Anti's see illegals as being the lowest of the low and dumb as a doorknob. Is this because they are illegal or because they are from a different race??
What if an illegal went back to their native land and decided to come back the "right way legally", would these labels be automatically dropped?
The reason I ask this is because I've read some people post some answers seriously degrading illegals as if they are inept to do anything just because they are illegal.

Being here illegally doesn't make anyone stupid. It makes them a criminal. Irregardless of where they came from, they need to go through the legal process. Then they are not criminals, or illegal and I would think smart for doing it right.
Face it, you lost the vote, I and most other Americans are glad that piece of crap bill was shot down.

I think illegals are not stupid or anything like that...I think they are criminals though. That is the only label I have put on them. Now, if they were to go back and come back LEGALLY...well then they would not be committing a crime now would they? But...I don't think they should be allowed here legally now...they committed the crime...they should have to pay for their mistake...you do not reward a criminal...you punish them...I think you are trying to make a last ditch effort to calling people racist...I think you should be deported. You can not even speak English correctly.

I don't associate someone in this country illegally as being "dumb". It's got nothing to do with their mentality, or their intelligence. It has to do with circumventing U.S. immigration laws, when others who attempt entry have to follow it.

Their only problem is that they are Illegal - adopt a low profile, do what you have to, probably meaning low grade work etc...

I wouldn't put it that way, but I was told by even the pro-amnesty, that the average illegal immigrant has less education. The ones that are here come from part sof Mexico with the least opportunities. I believe it's the same with the other hispanic illegal immigrants. The Asian illegal immigrants may be different though, but I'm not sure.
If any illegal alien went back to their home nation; and came back legally, I would not be annoyed with them. You see, they would be doing immigration they way they should have in the first place...

I think Everyone who breaks the law is doing something STUPID. If you break the law, and do something you know is wrong...isnt that stupid? I agree. There are a lot of folks on these boards that write about illegals as if they are sub-human. It is disgraceful. But most people, including myself, are anti-illegal for reasons of fairness and obeying the law. Racism just muddies up both sides of the argument.

There's bad comments going back and forth from both sides. I don't understand why some people have to resort to that type of behavior. I've seen Pros call Antis jack asses and I've seen Antis make stupid remarks about pink flamingos (don't ask cause I don't get it). We need to remember that we're all humans and we have that in common regardless of the color of our skin.

I think if you are illegal and know you are wrong, that you should try to make it right. Also, some people are technically illegal, but are just temporarilly illegal. They are just waiting to file something, or waiting for status to come back.
I think they are stupid for risking it and coming here illegally, they don't really know they are messing with our government, whom I would not mess with and I was born here.
Also, they are even more stupid for risking their kids and dragging them here or having them here. The parents could get deported WITHOUT their kids if the kid is a citizen. It seems like they don't think before they do something. It also seems like they have something to hide in their background or they would just get papers like they are supposed to.

We all do things that are crazy or dumb at times,both citizens and non citizens.As citizens when you break the law there are consequences,as should non citizens.You don't just come here illegally,(crime),you work under false information (2nd crime),reap the benefits (healthcare,link cards,etc),of the legally working people>i don't like to pay for the citizens of america who sit on their buts all day and recieve compensation for it,let alone a law breaker who insist they have rights when they don't...laws are laws you break them you pay!Stop playing the race card..I am black and it its tired on all ends
No, I don't think it automatically makes them stupid but if you're an illegal thinking of coming to this country after hearing about the huge uproar of American dislike for illegals then I think they're stupid.
