Maybe they will pull their head out of their bum and do it right next time. The democrats whined that the President needed to get the other republicans to back it, but these republicans know who butters there bread, we made sure they remembered that. Even I broke with the President on this issue and I am one of his staunchest supporters.
This bill was intentionally conceived in secret because it was a slap in the face of every american,and they tried to pass it quickly,next time they might go to mexico,away from the US citizens eyes,and come out with a worse one,we better be watching out for Judas like Kennedy and McCain,they have proven to sell the country very cheap
That was close! It was a bad bill, and shouldn't have gotten as far as it did. I've lost respect for McCain and Kennedy (I never had any for Bush), but at least someone woke up in time to defeat this thing. I can guarantee that if Lou Dobbs had not been carping incessantly on the issue for several years, we'd be looking at a premature death for Social Security, plus all the other annoying little inconveniences we've been discussing.
