How do i start 2 get my greencard, i've been here illegally since 12 and now 17 and have no idea PLEASE HELP.

I moved here to the U.S. from Trinidad shortly after i turned 12 to live with my mother because my house had burned down. I had not seen or been with her since i was 3 so naturally i jumped at this opportunity. Being young I did not know how the immigration system worked. I am now 17 and living here has become my life and i don't want to leave it. I want to become a citizen, not for financial reasons but because this is all i know. I am a regular 17 yr-old boy and because of my situation I am unable to do regular teenage things like driving or working.I just want to have a regular life but I have no clue where to start. So if there is anyone at all out there that has any advice or who can help me please do so your help is needed and will be greatly appreciated. PLEASE and THANKYOU.

Since you are in the USA illegally you are not entitled to apply for a green card. If you are listed as being an Illegal then you would not be able to apply for Permanent Residency for a period of 10 years and would not be able to visit the USA for a period of 5 years. If you are caught trying then this is extend to 20 years for visitation and are not allowed to apply for Permanent residency.

If you do apply for permanents residency then you would need to apply for a i-130. The rules for who is eligible are list in this website:

Look for an Immigration lawyer in your area. They will help you with your case and follow-up on it. Look in the yellow pages.
Just wait and see if this immigration bill will be passed. I wish it passed when I was your age i'm 24 now and i'm still illegal too. There's not much you can do, i've tried it all. Just try to play the green card lottery, try to marry a US citizen, or go back and legally apply but you will be barred for 10 years.

Don't waste your money on a immigration lawyer they're just going to take your money and run.
