Immigration laws are hardly enforced. You could probably live a good 10 or 15 years off the government before anyone is the wiser.

I know plenty of illegals who pay taxes with their REAL SSN's they received when they came legally with a work visa yet continued paying though we labeled them as illegal because they over-stayed. I also know illegals who have tax id#'s who pay taxes. But you know what? Because they are labeled "illegal" they are not eligible for social security, welfare, unemployment, medicare, medicaid, food stamps or any other government assistance program though our government is more than happy to take their tax money. If you want free stuff have a baby out of wedlock & go down to the health department. I'm sure they'll be happy to see a fresh face instead of all the other Americans who have been milking the system for years.

We should all just destroy our IDs, Drivers Licenses, SS cards and Immunization Records.
We are hardworkers, law abiding, work for small wages, have to pay for renewals of licenses, have to take jobs we don't like, have to pay for our kids shots, have to pay for car insurance, health insurance, and everything else required.
If we were illegal, all we would have to do is work hard and we could break the law anytime we want. Our excuse could be that we work hard and we want a better life.

Don't renounce your citizenship, practice it. Want less taxes, vote for the candidate that will and/or already has voted to cut taxes. Or, run for office yourself. Run for city or county board and work to get property taxes cut. Run for your state's congress to get your state's taxes cut. My view on immigration is this: Get rid of welfare, then open up the borders to anyone that can pass a thorough background check. We still need to stay safe, but if we get rid of welfare, we won't have the HUGE influx of illegals quite as bad as we do now.

This is a true story. In 2003, I was pregnant, single and uninsured. I am college educated and worked full time, so in Texas, I qualified for no public assistance. Which I am not complaining about seeing as how the government didn't get me pregnant. But, I had to work 2 jobs as a nurse for most of my pregnancy to pay for ultrasounds and lab tests and office visits, etc. The town that I lived in required that if you are non insurance and do not pay for your entire pregnancy and delivery at once, (which was over $14,000) that you go to a community health clinic, with medicaid recipients. I never considered myself to be a prejudiced person, but I sat in a waiting room full of non English speaking Hispanics who qualified for free health care, food stamps, WIC, housing assistance. It really burned me that you could come here from another country, sign yourself and your kids up on welfare, get a house and utilities paid for so you could move your entire family here and then have your baby and he/she automatically qualifies for free insurance. I worked 60 hours a week to pay my bills, had been a taxpayer AND a legal citizen since BIRTH. It has been over 4 yrs and I am still extrememly bitter about that.
Go to Mexico and change your name. Oh, and learn Spanish and how to say "I don't speak English!"
