Map, Americans have always shown to be against illegal immigration in the polls, where it counts. Also, I'd say pro amnesty are the loudest with their protests by far. To answer the original question, I've voted against elected officials who support amnesty in the past and will again. You can yell and cry in the streets all you want, but the place your voice will really make a difference is at the polls.
I do more I stop to vote for all politicans in this country

I have called and written to MANY Representatives. I will vote against them even if it means that a dumb democrat will get the position. I have also contacted the RNC and told them they will get no money from me this year.

I think it is not only your politicians fault, illegal immigrants are in your country, because US citizen give them a job, if your population himself are disloyal with their own country, what could one expect about the politician, who have to maintain good diplomatic relationships with my country (México), for your businessman sake?

In response to map's comment, according to a Rasmussen poll, only 26% of Americans approve of the new immigration bill. So I would say that the majority of Americans DONT want amnesty for illegals. And in response to your question, yes I would definitely vote against my congressperson if he/she voted for the amnesty bill!
My local newspaper gives "Cheers and Jeers" in their editorial section for good and bad behavior respectively. On Wednesday, they gave this bill a Cheer. According to them, if the "far left" and "far right" are both opposed to this bill, it must be good! How warped is that?

If you read the bill, you will know why so many are against it. If you believe in smaller government, this doesn't do it. If you are against massive spending by the federal government, you have 2.5 trillion reasons to be against this bill. If you are a law-and-order type of person, you won't believe the free ride these people are getting.
Any Senator or Congressman who supports this bill is getting the axe at the next election.
WhitePig's response is WAY off. If good people stop voting, only bad people get to make the decisions. You need to get involved. Find out who the chairman is of your county Republican or Democratic party. Find out when they meet and get involved. It is not difficult to become a delegate for your county, district, and state conventions. Go to them and sound off. Meet with your local congressman and senator and give them what-for. If they won't meet with you, find out when they are having a town hall meeting - go to it and express your opinion. You don't have to be obnoxious at these events, but you do need to constructively state out loud in front of everyone that if your Senator or Congressman votes for this bill, they will be unemployed and you will see to it. Then, follow through!

It is the major issue in my mind of protecting the home front. I will vote against all who support this bill (amnesty). I have no problem with immigration, but only for those who will accept laws and amplify the intelligence of the American people. The Mexicans we are getting don't want to understand the culture they only want our money and take advantage of our people. What makes Bush think that these people who have broken all kind of laws will step up and pay $5000 (or even that they have that amount of money) and change their life to start following our laws. The two party system is broken and no longer looks out for the common American. Time for a change..
