Americans: If you could choose, what immigrant's nationality would you really welcome to the US?

Answer:
It does not matter, as long as they are legal, and respect laws of the US. They should be speaking at least a little english and making an effort to learn english.
Martian..If mexicans were so good for USA, why is Mexico a sh1thole?
Which would you sister?
Any and EVERYONE who went through the process legally just as all the other hard-working immigrants here have done.
Poland and Irish only ones who like America The rest get and stay the hell out!
We already welcome all of them legally.
Legal!!!
The Legal one who follows the current law.
I for one will welcome every nationality as long they are legal.
India.

Their food is delicious.
Their ladies are attractive.
& they often are well educated in science, medicine and computer technology.
Well, I would keep allowing the Mexicans to come in because they really affect our economy in a good way. Also, the Dutch.
Any that come here legaly with the intentions of working hard paying their ow way and with the interest of progressing this country not any other.
I would choose a nationality that doesn't like to join street gangs and write grafitti everywhere.
I love how everybody is going to answer, 'everyone.'

*I* would really welcome Burmese (including all ethnic groups of that country) immigrants, because of the oppression they face in their own country from the ruling junta. They would be fortunate to make it out

EDIT:
Wow, what did I say? Six thumbs-down? Oh well, I still stand by my answer.
Germans..then Swiss..
Legal. We are all from somewhere else, all you have to do is look back far enough. If a person come here legally and obeys the laws of the land I'm good with that.
Horny Swedish girls who have one million dollars as a cover charge to get in ..
Canadians, I have never meet one in my entire life, taht's crazy, they're country is good so they must be civilized
It doesn't matter to me as long as these things apply to all equally.

The numbers of each let in annually are the same across the board to be fair to all.
They come legally.
And they can afford to provide for themselves without having to live off the government, and social programs that were set aside for Americans.
They speak the language of their host country.
And assimilate to the Americas way of life, and American culture.
Ones nationality does not make any difference, but those
that immigrate should

1.) do so legally
2.) Accept our culture and not try to force theirs on us
3.) Learn to speak American English and accept the fact
that we do not wish to have special schools teaching in
their native language
If I had to choose one (and I like the suggestions of the Poles and the Burmese), I would say the Finns, of Finland.

Finland is the only foreign country I know of where the US Independence Day is a national holiday. Now that's friendly!
you're ******* serious? wow how about we start the holocaust up again. jesus!
Scotland, and the irish.
Why do people like you keep twisting the facts,it's not the race that's the problem,it's the way they are coming in illegaly,if this country was racist against the mexicans, why were there so many of them in the country, there were more mexicans living here legaly than all the other hispanic groups combined
Irish!
Eastern Europe
Well, nobody here says "English" Why?
Honestly none at the moment. We need to focus on our own citizens for a while.

If things improve down the road, I would love to see more Irish here.
The immigrant's nationality is not the issue, the issue is the immigrant's legal status. I have many friends and a few relatives who are LEGAL IMMIGRANTS from several nations and I am very happy that they are here.
Illegal aliens are unwelcome no matter their nation of origin.

If I had to choose preferred status nations, I would choose the western European nations.
