Has LA ever been GLAMOROUS?
Answer:
Los Angeles is my home. I was born and raised in Boyle Heights and you have no right to call my home a **** hole. It isn't glamorous but I would rather live in Hollenbeck than with a bunch of gringos.
The day you left it for good!
No it's not glamorous. In fact, it once was glamorous, but now it has become a violent and dangerous place to be. I wonder why?
Yeah, it's always been glamorous if you recall the original definition of that word: False Beauty.
I like the west side of LA ok; you can have the rest of it.
It amazes me, how everyone complains about living there.Guess what? That economy is the 5th LARGEST in the world. How is that? Because everyone wants to live there.SO if people hate this city, stop complaining and do something about it, or move...!
When there were no people yet. Basically, wherever people go, it becomes a **** hole.
Once attitudes like yours enters any city, that's when it starts to become trashy.
Negativity can destroy anyone and any town.
For as long as you can remember? What is that? About 20 years? You are an angry man who has no credibility, and obviously no sense of history. As you should know, LA is not just downtown or the barrio. It encompasses LA proper and many surrounding areas. Some of them very nice. Some of them not so nice. Most of them are filled with people from diverse cultures. All of them with immigrants from many countries. Some legal. Some not. It's been that way for a VERY long time. Much longer than you "remember" and much longer than you and your anger will allow you to understand.
Yes, there have been periods of time when LA WAS glamarous. Certainly in the early days of the movie business. And there is still glamor on Rodeo Drive and the surrounding areas. There is glamor on PCH in Malibu and in the Colony. Like ANY big city, it is subject to cultural changes over time. Buildings age, infrastructure breaks down, and very angry people start to define what the character of a place may be. It happens.
You have a problem with Americans wanting our borders to remain under our control. You think it's OK to be here breaking the law and protected by some sick kind of sense of entitlement to do it. NOBODY on either side thinks LEGAL aliens should have anything but a real chance at citizenship. It's a distinction that is so obvious that I am sure people who cant understand it have a learning disability. Any way, I digress. If you think LA is such a S**T hole, and Americans are such A**holes, go back to where you came from.
Or is that place a bigger S**T hole than LA?
tomar una pastilla que te lo haga.
Hollywood was glamorous at one time. Think 20s to 50s.
Some people wouldn't know real glamour if they stumbled over it. LA is a vibrant, fashionable, diverse city. Born and raised in LA and take offense to your question...perhaps you would be more suited to a small mid-western town with one stop light and gas station...if it still exists.
Don't talk **** about LA puto! Thats the best city in the world!
Wow you really are in L.A. that was just a guess. No it wasn't. Not even in the golden age of Hollywood. A few fancy restaurants and movie stars do not make a city glamorous. It's the restaurants that are glamorous. The city around the restaurant is still a dump. No matter how many Paris Hiltons they have clubbing and puking in their streets.
It was nice in the 1950's before Black and Latino Gangs ruined it
