If you read the bill, for every enforcement provision, there is an exception or caveat you can drive a truck through. A lot of the enforcement provisions don't even apply to Mexico (specifically) or to 'contiguous nations' which is a bit odd if they wanted to enforce the law. Given that there are more people here illegally from Mexico than from all other countries put together, according to the Pew Hispanic Center.

First, to the first person who answered this mentioning "gross errors in spelling and grammar." ARE YOU KIDDING?! I see dozens of grammar and spelling errors in just about every question and answer on this board -- and you bark about THIS person's?! I see only one error - "inforced" (and maybe "at" at the end of the sentence isn't good). All the other words are spelled correctly, and the grammar is fine. Gullible is spelled correctly. Bureaucracy is spelled correctly. "These USA" means these United States of America. Sovereignty is spelled correctly. Maybe YOU need to learn correct spelling and grammar? Hmm. Maybe I'll keep a watch from now on on YOUR questions and answers to see how well YOU did in your English classes. (By the way, I see an error in YOUR question/answer -- what you MEANT to say is "how can you expect to be taken seriously?" - NOT how can you be expected -- that means that other people will expect, not this person. AND YES! The person who wrote this question is correct! We do not need NEW laws. We have enough laws! Politicians are just looking for more votes. This new law is evil! It kills American taxpayers, gives special rights to people who disobeyed our laws, and sets us up for more hell to come!
Great question, what makes people think the laws will suddenly be enforced? Is this a magic bullet law (bill)? In my opinion money is being wasted on yet another set of laws that will gather dust somewhere until the next time we decide to reform, lol.

They are not anymore serious about stopping the flow at the border now, then they were in 1986. This is all a shell game to keep the flow of the cash from the business lobby for most, pressure from the likes of La Raza to ensure the promotion of the their family reunification dreams of having a Latin majority in this country, and the do gooders like Kennedy that think the illegals need to come out of the shadows, at our expense.
That's one huge problem with this current piece of crap. I won't be enforced. The proof is the 1986 amnesty bill that never had the security areas enforced. If they jailed the employers the job market would dry up and there wouldn't be the attraction to come here illegally.
