Don't think that because we want the illegals gone that we are not fighting to secure our borders as well.
Because whenever people have a moment to start thinking about logical and sensible precautions such as that, the government dangles a shiny object to distract them.
I absoulutely agree with you. I guess we need another al-Qaeda (or whatever) attack on U.S. soil to really divert the attention to the key focal component of border security, which is not and will never be to keep Mexicans out (mexicans find a way in anyhow) but to protect the nations from real attacks.
It is hard to secure the borders when Our Border Patrols hands are always tied.
Maybe us racist people would have a chance at those jobs if they were offered more than 2.00 an hour. All borders should be covered, I agree. Anyone crossing should be shot on sight. However the US is now being sued for not having water available for the wetbacks that dehydrate trying to cross like cockroaches. There is only so much we can do. We fight, we get sued, we shoot we get sued. We don't supply water, we get sued. Here is a crazy idea. Tell your people to STAY OUT OR DIE!
Our borders will never be 100% secure. It is time that people understand that.
mexicans should stay in Mexico, if they want to be Americans so bad then Mexico should apply for statehood and all of the people start paying taxes. mexicans should not be in the U.S working and not paying taxes
You should watch your words calling people racists, the fact is that most illegal people are Mexicans, Mexico is in really bad shape and these people are trying to survive by coming here to work, while I do feel for them, the fact is they are violating our laws. I think the reason the wall has not been put up is these big companies are paying off the people we send to Washington not to do it, the companies get cheap labor and save money that they give to these politicians.
Because if they made an impenetrable border it would not only filter out the terrorists, it would filter out Mexicans as well. Cheap labor makes the corporations wealthier and their profits are more important than YOUR safety. Open you eyes.
I'm getting a little tired of hearing that illegals are here working the jobs that Americans or legal citizens won't do. I'll help you out and set you straight on that one. How about what these employers, and businesses will and won't pay to have the job done. How about that Americans and legal citizens are over qualified to do the jobs. How about that these employers, and businesses have been given legal protection to fire the Americans and legal citizens in order to hire cheap, and illegal laborers.
And Americans, and legal citizens are focusing on the terrorists that could easily sneak through the southern borders, and southern ports. Not only are they illegals coming up from the south, but they are also terrorists who are torching protected national forests to sneak across. Our border to the North is already taken care of.
We can make our border with Mexico extremely secure. Unfortunately, we would have to model it on the DMZ that separates North Korea from South Korea. Mine fields and roving patrols, shooting infiltrators on sight. I don't think that is the answer. Unfortunately, there is a corrupt government in Mexico who will never patrol and control their citizens illegal border crossing. If this keeps up, the DMZ solution will be all that is left to us. This isn't racist, it is maintaining our right as a nation to control who we allow in. This country has the right to control the border. I'm slowly coming to the conclusion drastic measures are all that we will be left with. 29% of our prison space is occupied by illegal aliens. At $40,000.00 each, illegal immigration is costing us approximately $12 billion just in prison costs. Add in the cost to local and State governments which is estimated at $20 billion annually for schools and services and it rapidly becomes apparent that the taxpayers of this country are totally fed up with this situation.
