Deportation...?!?
Answer:
CAN WE DEPORT BUSH?
I think your dad just want to take you with him. I don't think they deport because of a visa. He must have a case with the INS. What I know is that a lot of the cases that were backlogged are being rejected, and they send out deportation letters. You should ask your dad to read the letter.
You should also get an attorney. In this country nothing is written in stone. Good Luck!
maybe he got fired from his job? maybe his visa is not valid anymore? maybe he had a clash with the law somehow?
Only your dad will be able to answer you honestly why...he should give you an explanation. Sorry, that you have to leave.
Unlawful Entry is a CRIME.
Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators! No amnesty, no "stealth-amnesty." No "change of status," marriage fraud, "exceptional leave to remain," no "Temporary Protected Status." If you break the law, depart or be deported. Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !
maybe it doesn't have anthing to do with your visa.
but if it does you dad could have done something illegal and gotten deported that way.
sorry =[ that sucks. i'm here on a visa too, they are so confusing.
Our american government just gave you AMERICA
If you have an Alien registration number (or your father does)--you and/or he will have been assigned this number if you were in removal proceedings, you can call an 800 number to check the status of the case/determine if there is an outstanding order of removal etc. See sources below.
it is possible he lied to you about how you entered the country. Now the government found out and you have to go back to your poor *** country
have you asked your dad why? maybe he wants to go home. the company may need him there. either way that sucks, the legals are given a hard time when illegals are running around. good luck and god bless.
It's funny how most people will scream " IF YOUR HERE ILLEGALLY GO BACK HOME." or my favorite " IF YOU CAN'T SPEAK AMERICAN GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY". though you might want to consider they got here by boat and they cannot speak cheerokee. Look bottom line is it seems more political than anything else. Either that your dad just let his visa run out ,which is stupid. I'm sure your dad did the same thing the majority of American citizens did. Tried to better their livelyhood.
Is he on an H1B visa? If he is no longer going to be working for his employer and doesn't have a substitute, I think you would all have 30 days from whenever he stopped working for them to leave. Could that be it? If so, it isn't being deported, it is just the visa running out, because it was based on his job.
I'm afraid I don't know enough about your circumstances to say, otherwise.
Did he specifically say he was being deported? Did he go to an immigration hearing? If not, then it is a personal issue and not a governmental one.
By the way some dependent visas become invalid whenever the principle's visa is terminated or expired.
Or that sudden trip to Vegas that he said he took, may have been something else!
I understand what you are talking about but to make sure.
You have your visa, it's expiring soon? Could you father have been arrested for something? Get into some sort of trouble? Maybe there is something you don't know about your father?
It sounds sketchy.
Maybe he lost his job.Or maybe he's sick and tired of being in this country and just wants to leave.
