No, it's not working wrong in the US. It is working just like it is supposed to work. Background checks are legal and they are important because we don't want you here if you are a criminal and from what you stated, employers didn't want you working for them either. You must have committed some types of terrible crimes!
The government does a background check on you and your employer does a background check on you. Apparently you were fine to enter our Country, and you are welcome. There must be something wrong coming up in the check the employers are doing. I would question them as to why you are being let go. Try and find out what information they are getting, and if possible try to correct whatever it may be. Best of luck to you.
