There are approximately 12 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. as of December 2006. The Pew Hispanic Center state that 57% of illegal aliens are of Mexican origin and about 75% are of Latin American origin

why the question?... but I can answer as a police officer.. there are many, however.... there are millions and millions of **legal** aliens in the U.S more legal than illegal, actually they are not aliens they are americans, born and raise here or others came legally here, others fixed their status..... simple don't judge someone by its cover.
An estimate 20 MILLION illegal alien criminals are in the US. I don't know what the percentage is but based on the inflow to CA, it's mostly from Mexico. CA taxpayers spend BILLIONS each year to take care of them.
To those that say it's only 11 million, stuff it! You haven't been to CA lately, have you?
It depends on whom you ask. Everyone agrees that more come from Mexico than from all of the other countries put together, even though they are also our biggest source of LEGAL residents, however.
