Illegal immigrants have broken at least one law by living here illegally, hence the term.
Then things get murky. How do they work, drive, even vote ID theft. Another crime.
Then they send their children to our schools. Tax evasion.
The list goes on and on.
Are they all "bad" people. No. I am sure many of them just want a better life than their home country. Sadly if they put a tenth of their energy into fixing their own country that they do in getting into ours you would see a better world.
They broke the law. They made a decision to come here knowing it was breaking the law. Our country can afford to send them all back. it has nothing to do with being bad. They broke the law and should go back home.
Nah. It's like Dennis Leary says:

I personally know a lot of illegal immigrants, and I can't say anything bad about them, I know they broke the law to come here, but as individuals they are kind, caring, honest, hardworkings, love their children, and will do anything for you, they are good people.
I will be willing to pay.

If they are illegal, then rational thought says they are criminals and therefore "Bad".

Not a problem. We already have the busses. We just need to make sure they are full.
We do not need the money to send them home, they will go back home on their own. If our government enforces the law and imposes strict fines on employers that hire illegal aliens they will have no income, therefore go back home.
I do not believe that the issue revolves around people thinking that these are all bad people. Yes we understand that they are fleeing their country for better pastures. However, have you questioned anyone as to why these people are not standing together against their government and trying to change things.
These people are placing a huge burden on our citizens. They are receiving free healthcare at our expense, meanwhile we have millions of citizens that cannot afford their own healthcare or our struggling to make ends meet so they can keep a job or jobs to pay for their own healthcare. We have tons of people trying to get jobs at wawa, gas stations, etc. and they are finding the employers are hiring illegals at a lower rate of pay. I am aware some of these people do contribute to our tax base, however betcha most are not. Do you also realize the millions of dollars that goes back into Mexico, of course their president is all for amnesty his economy is doing great as a result of the influx of money coming in.
Did you happen to read the amnesty bill? Are you aware it would provide free - yes free - college tuition to these people? and healthcare - also are you aware that they would receive social security, if it is still available, if they only work a few months. are you aware you would have to work a good 10 years before you were eligible for social security? it gets better.
All in all, the people here can communicate enough to ban together and rally at our capital, but why can they not do this in their own country?
I meant to say yes, that's true that they are all not bad. Because one does a crime, these anti-illegals start complaining that they all do.
and 12 million illegals will not be deported. SO doesn't matter if they have the money to do so.
They are not all bad people but they did do a bad thing by coming illegaly.
I expect the vast majority of people illegally in the US are not bad people. They are trying to get ahead and make a better life for themselves. They are definitely hard workers, it's amazing, I wish I had a couple of dozen but I don't think I could keep them busy. It's a shame that they came illegally. The US can take some blame for that because of the 1986 amnesty and the lax enforcement.
The question I keep coming up with is, assuming that illegal immigration is stopped, and the people in the US illegally go home or are sent home - then what?
Something is terribly wrong for all of these people to be willing to uproot themselves and their families to go to another country. That is what needs to be addressed in some fashion and it will likely take the US Government to do it through programs or political leverage . These people should be able to have a decent life at their home. Why is it not happening? What do we have to do to fix it?
I don't know enough to even begin to answer those questions but I know they need to be answered and action taken.
Conservatives aren't all bad. Just don't call me a bleeding heart liberal! Much of what you see on a site like this is simply the process of debate.
It will be a long time before this is over and a lot of good can come out of it.

If we have the money to supply their welfare and food stamps, I'm sure we can cut them all off from bennies for a couple months, and use THAT to get rid of them.
There's always the possibility of Patriot Americans who are willing to donate to a special deportation fund, as long as the funds are held by a reliable group (not the ACLU or La Rats)
illegals work hard (farms, factories, construction) and are not eligible to benefits, many citizens live in the ghettos or trailer parks, collecting checks, free rent, don't work, smoke crack, yet nobody complain about that!..
