Why do so many people here tell me to go back to Mexico when I'm COLOMBIAN?

O.K., go back to Colombia then. Is that better? No, I didn't think so. If your legal then welcome,but you should be just as concerned as us about the ones who are coming here illegally You took the time,and came here the right way, and the ones who didn't, will reap the rewards. They might actually be offered citizenship before you. Wouldn't that suck. After you took the time to fight through what I'm sure is a very tedious and bureaucratic procedure. Paid money, worked your butt off, and then to be cheated out of everything by someone who just crossed over last week. No wonder your pissed, but who are you really pissed at?

It really ridiculous, the same happen to me they think all the Latino are from Mexico, but a black man ask my brother the same question so he told him , Why you dont go back to Africa, that is a real one in a case of a white you can ask Why you dont go back to England? or Why you dont go back to H....?
Why are you so nacionalist? I'm Spanish, and out of Spain people consider me as a Latin person, and I don't mind. People who call you Mexican don't mind if you're Mexican or Colombian, they only think that you are inmigrant.
Anyway have you tried to wear a t-shirt with the word COLOMBIA on it?

Because some people are just ignorant...If you look Latino...people will automatically group you with whomever they are hearing the most about.Mexicans.Just the same way you can't always look at a person of any skin color and automatically tell what their nationality is...people have in their heads tan skin, dark hair = Mexican. I'm white, I have freckles, blonde hair and green eyes...what country am I from? What country are my ancestors from? You could make some educated guesses...but for all you know I could be from Vietnam. Just ignore people who treat you badly, or call you something you're not. And remember, It isn't what other people call you that is important but rather what you answer to. Know who YOU are, and nothing else matters.
