okay u said u don't want bias answers..well your getting them right now, all those answers are just bias they all want to push their damn bs rethoric. so don't listen to them. the bill that is being proposed right now would allow illegals to become legalize, after having to pay fines and al that crap. it will give working visas to people who want to work here in the fields temporarily,(something we don't have right now) security is not that high up in the bill.(thats the bad thing, and is why you are getting all those damn answers) overall it will legalize and help others who want to come here, come through legal channels. however most people don't want this and are afraid is gonna end up like the 86 amnesty, which is not because this has something that they didn't have, Working visas. ooh and by the way, is 12 million not 20. and gas will not go up nor any of That crap that other guy said.
The bill basically is rewarding an ILLEGAL act. The elected representatives are bowing to big business once again. This time it looks like average citizen has had it.
The purpose is to make immigration more bureaucratic than it already is. They are deciding on any additions to the bill right now. They say it is to deal with the illegal aliens here in the USA, but I don't see that happening...just a way to get more working visa's out there so more people can stay over and then become illegal aliens. The scary part of the bill is the fact that they are now targeting the high tech fields so they have more "workers"..in actuality it will just bring down the pay in those fields now.
This amnesty bill is designed to get the democrat party more voters and the republicans big business intrests cheap labor.
The enforcement provisions will never be followed through on.
Once the 20 million illlegals are granted amnesty our social programs will only last a few years before becoming bankrupt. The cost of EVERY supply/demand item will skyrocket.
Gasoline will go way up.
Home heating/electricity costs will go way up.
Taxes will go way up.
Medical costs will go way up.
Our schools will be very overcrowded as illegals reproduce at a high rate and pay little in taxes.
Crime will go way up - we already have a prison population of between 15-25% illegal aliens who have commited felonies.
Wages for everyone but the rich will go way down. This bill includes HUGE increases in worker visas. Hundreds of thousands will come every year.
You can't add 50-100 million uneducated, low income people (the 20 million plus the increased legal immigration plus all the daisey chaining of the illegals relatives) and expect our country to survive.
EDIT: Diablo said below that gas and other supply/demand items won't increase in cost. Is he nuts?!? Prices for heating our homes and putting gas in our cars is already going crazy and he thinks that somehow adding 50-100 million NEW citizens with full rights to get social services won't increase true citizens costs? This bill will cost our country more then anyone realizes. I will admit we will get cheaper tomatos, cheaper lawn services, etc. , but I have a choice in buying those items, I have no choice but to pay the price for gas, taxes and to heat my home. Those are some mighty expensive tomatos when its all over and done with.
Just another that the Congress is selling us legal Americans out to Big Business. This bill is allowing the illegals to get a free pass and nothing more than Amnesty for them. This helps Big Business with cheap labor costs, so that they can get rich and screw the poor Americans.
