I think I heard that they are here until they can be found a safe place to live. To me that doesn't mean they will be here permanently.

I doubt it happened all in one day but, yes. I knew they were being accepted. It's a good thing. The Iraqis are good people stuck in a bad situation.

Yes I asked a question about it earlier today. I am not sure when they are coming, but they are coming because there life is in danger basically because they have helped america so they are being moved to michigan. here is a copy of one article.

I doubt they were all at once, a few hundred came last week or so. Bush agreed to 7000 though. These were people who supported our people in Iraq and could be in danger staying. They have a claim on us, don't they?
They helped our boys so it's only right we help them. They are coming here legally so I don't have a problem with them.

People are given legal status to come here if their country is in at war or in a natural disaster. I would rather help people who are in danger, then help losers who just come here to take and invade.
