There are a bunch of bills out there. One is a 'sense of Congress' statement to have comprehensive immigration reform (which has been twisted to mean amnesty) another would give temporary visas but no special 'path to citizenship' they'd have to follow the existing rules, etc. Others go the other way and would make ID theft be reported by the SS dept to people whose identities were stolen so that they could prosecute, etc. etc.
