That particular language is a thousand years old, and it´s spoken in all of the continents except Antartica. You can travel through all of the American continent (Including Canada and the US) and you would be able to communicate with the people in those lands.
It´s currently spoken by more than 500,000,000 persons, and it captures the culture and history of the people that preceded us.
It is worth learning for everybody, and Americans would enrich their life beyond their wildest expectations when they speak, read, and feel the language.
You would have a lot of advantages all over the world speaking that language, by having millions of people to talk to.
If you think the language is beautiful, move there, speak it every day. good luck in your new home
Nope, I do believe we are not "afraid" of learning anything. In fact we are asimilating into your culture far more than you are into ours. We understand Cuidado, do you understand Caution?
Hell my kids can even at their young ages count to ten en Espanol et en Francais, plus the alphabets. What about your vast contributions to the English language? Se Hablo Espanol. We will adapt, we will learn. We are American.

Its worth learning as many languages as you can. But I prefer Italian to Spanish myself. I dont know why it is but spanish seems to take extra words to say the same thing most of the time.
I am not afraid to learn any language.. I of course took Spanish and German classes, but because I am not Spanish or German, my family is not Spanish or German and I live in the US.. I do not speak it frequently and therefore will never be fluent in Spanish or German.. English is the language of my land, and that is what I have been taught- and I don't like people trying to shove other languages down my throat

Pamela: Learn some history before you go around insulting your race... Some people did learn Native American language.. many white people lived with the Native Americans (so it wasn't ALL white people) but also there were very few written Native American language, try learning something that's not written down... until Sequoyah that is

So!! OK!! we have something like that already in English language. We have it long time now. It called Madona style. The one you got is just in the other language!!that all!!

I think it is worth it for my son to learn Spanish although it will take a lot of effort. We are both willing to do our part.
The language is very beautiful. I don't see how we can ask Spanish-speakers to learn English when our ancestors themselves did not learn the Native languages when they arrived here. How many White people do you know who speak Lakota, Cherokee, Sioux, Navajo, or any other REAL native language vs. the number of Natives you know who speak English? It's another clear example of White people expecting the world to change to adapt to them. Anything else is deemed inferior and even treason. That, and we're lazy.
My husband says he speak only two languages:
GOOD ENGLISH when he is sober and BAD ENGLISH when drunk!
