Would removing current illegal aliens in the US and securing our borders hurt or help the economy?

It would defnitely help! It seems to me though if illegals were granted amnesty and made american citzens that therefore they could be paid no less then minimum wage because all citizens by law are entitled to minumum wage by law. And the government says there are not enough americans who would work for illegals pay. well if they were granted amnesty and paid minimum wage I sure know a lot of people who work for that. THE GOVERNMENT IS FULL OF *!
It would help. The illegals have already proven to us with their anti-American marches that our economy will be fine after we deport them.
1) Cheaper health care since they won't be taking any,
2) Affordable housing - 12 million people are taking up someone's home
3) Instant elimination of unemployment - we truly find out who doesn't want to work.
Hypothetically speaking I think we'd be in great shape.
Is our economy the most important thing at stake here???

It would help our country out definitly because the illegals do not pay taxes and taxes need to be paid to help improve our country. By people not paying taxes it does not help our country because they are taking money away from us.

It would help our economy and improve our security. As long as it's done properly, i.e., not in the FEMA style, it's all benefit and no drawback.
It would benefit the rest of the world, too, since people would be more inclined to stay home and fix their own countries instead of fleeing and letting the problems.
So, I say shut down the borders and deport every invader we can find, so we can build a better world for everyone.

We as a nation would be fine economically. Secure our borders has been a hypothetical for decades now. We spent more in our war in Iraq to fight terrorism, but our borders are wide open for terrorists to come in and little money is spent to secure them at all. Yeah, we would be fine
In some way it would hurt our economy because they do many of the dirty jobs that most americans don't want to do but we do need to protect our borders because in a decade or so our whole political spectrum may change and a new party might arise.
Help...they are a strain and a burden. Let them go home and try fixing their own problems.
It would IMPROVE our economy. That's 11 million people who are not paying taxes, but they're gladly helping themselves to OUR tax money. Any American company who is employing these illegals are traitors to their country.
Securing our border would definetely help. When The government make economic policies, Illegal immigration makes it hard to plan for. When we make plans for sewer system and highway construction, its nice to know what the growth of the area would be like. Illegal immigration could add hundreds of thousands of people that politicians did not plan for.
As for removing illegal aliens that are already here, its a big question mark. It would definetely hurt our economy if we pull 12 million people all of a sudden. The thing is with long term, it might help increase salaries. If we actually need the extra labor, we could always let in more legal immigrants.

It's gonna hurt our economy because illegal aliens work in farms, fast food restaurants, picking up crops. It was estimated that 80% of illegal aliens help pick up the crops. Without them, our economy could cost us millions of $.
