I have a tenant who handed me a work only ss card with 4 names... which name do i use and why so many on a mexican card? if a mexicans passport xpired and he shows no other proof of greencard or i9 does that mean hes here illegally? how do i find out???? help

You can verify anyone's SSN online at SSA's website at

Also if a person is in the US legally, they should have either:
1. Unexpired foreign passport,with I-551 stamp or attached Form I-94 indicating unexpired employment authorization.
2. Permanent Resident Card or Alien Registration Receipt Card with photograph(Form I-151 or I-551).
3. Unexpired Temporary Resident Card (Form I-688).
4. Unexpired Employment Authorization Card(Form I-688A).
5. Unexpired Reentry Permit(Form I-327)
6. Unexpired Refugee Travel Document (Form 1-571).
7. Unexpired Employment Authorization Document issued by DHS that contains a photograph (Form I-688B).
If someone is unable to produce none of these, I would question this persons legal status in the US.
