Who else has been there? What did you think? Did anyone notice that they specified "Such and Such person estimated." or "that due to state and local concerns.?" seems to be repeated through out their "data sources pages?" Non of their "sources" were from "IRS" , "US Census Bureau" state by state "resources and statistics pages" in each state. They are using "Pew Hispanic website" and estimating information they have gathered back to 1996 to use as a current statistic. Can anyone read through the lines instead of just between them? Did you know they used only the estimates of Social Services help for people of Central and South American countries? I did not see anyone listed from a middle eastern or asian country? I think the site is flawed and no proof or up to date information has been listed. Everything is an estimate and what "Such and Such person" thinks will happen not what is. Love to here it and only true fact finding people to answer no ranters please.

Answer:
Yes it's such a valid source of information isn't it?Helps the haters out tho.Gives them more to gripe about without valid thought process.
why would our govt post lies?
Actually that isn't true, although the numbers they quote were COMPILED from census etc by others, and they just repeat them. They have a whole data collection page on how they get their data, and it looks a lot more legitimate than say the NY Times poll that ignores their own response that the prefered option for dealing with this is enforcement and cites only the provision that people would be 'willing' to have legalization.

Yeah, IF the problem is first addressed, whereas this bill goes in the opposite direction.

edit, well, I guess I can't say how many people you are speaking for. What I am saying is that no one can have good numbers because they don't count in places like schools and hospitals where you might get a decent estimate. Their estimate looks as good as others I have seen. I tend to use the Pew Hispanic Center numbers because I like to be conservative. However, I think they are low.

Here is their explanation of how they collect their data, but if you didn't understand my commentary, I am not sure if this is going to help.
