I like that law if it is enforced. The whining of businesses that just because one person in the HR dept. allowed an illegal to slip by can cost them the entire business is just that, whining!
If any business is serious about compliance with the Arizona law, they will take every measure needed to ensure that not one illegal immigrant is in thier employ.

Kuods to Arizona. Other states have made similar laws and I only hope our government allows those states to enforce them without claiming they have no right to do so. The problem is that our FEDERAL government will not enforce the laws on the books.

Yeah, but once they "work out the kinks", this law won't amount to a hill of beans. Not to mention that there are a lot of groups trying to get this overturned. You know what they say, buy enough lottery tickets, you will eventually win.
Yes! These businesses are whining about the burden being put on them and that it's unfair, but there's been Federal law in place for years. Their argument that it's never been enforced is crap. In New Jersey you don't get ticketed for jaywalking even though it's illegal, but set one foot off the curb in the wrong place in Los Angeles and there's a cop smiling at you! They should have been in compliance with that law anyways.

Absolutely. Now if we could just get California to put prop 187 back on the ballot we could put a stop to this crap once and for all. Notice who complained the most? The biggest offenders! Food service and the greedy contractors.
I am very happy to see somebody doing something and since Arizona is the biggest border crossing, stands to reason it should be them. They have the entire US watching to see what happens, if they will really enforce the laws... I hope to see positive things.

I think the US Government needs to take note. If there are no jobs for the illegal immigrants to come to, then there will be less coming. There whole thing is that they can "make a better living" here in the US. If we cut that off, then maybe it will detour some of the illegal immigrants from entering the country.

It will be struck down. Only the Federal Government can make and enforce immigration law.
Similar tactics have been tried in other states - they are all struck down.
Until the government decides to make a move, there is nothing anyone can do. They tried to get a start with the recently defeated immigration bill. But, it's all over now.
