I've been on that border, its a war zone....
Minutemen are already able to fill this need. We've all gone through a criminal background check, most of us are aware of the problems and procedures for spotting these invaders (and do), and have all gone through a vetting process to weed out people who have violent or racist tendencies.
Contrary to popular belief, we do not detain anyone. In fact we have ZERO contact with these people, outside of shining lights in their direction when the border patrol is coming.
Yes, many of us are armed when we're on the border, but I have yet to see or hear of ANYONE within the organization drawing their weapon. Fact of the matter is, we're calling in on people who are potentially VERY heavily armed and more often than not VERY dangerous.......
Good for them. Since these states are more directly impacted by illegal immigrates they should have some say and control as to how it's handled. With that said I do hope they are going to train these volunteers, and not just turn abunch of people loose to handle things vigilante style.

I do believe states are undetstanding more and more the failure of the goverment. Do like Mexico, end illegal benefits and jail criminal employers and terrorist invaders. Seize property and assets used. Enforce this law or lose the war on terrorism.
