Slowly but surely we are losing our country. Massive illegal immigration has driven down wages and placed an undue burden on school systems, welfare, and health care to name but a few. Our leaders seem to care more about Mexicans than they do Americans. There was a time that we were the "melting pot", but those days are gone. Many illegals have no desire to learn the language or the culture. I have absolutely no problem with legal and orderly immigration, but we can't let everyone in. We only have so much room. Why should we be forced to take care of another countries citizens because they are too corrupt to fix their own country? Then we have the far left movement and the far right movement that is tearing us apart. Everything is about political standing and scoring points. Were are the public servants that actually care about us citizens? We have lasted longer than any other republic and I am wondering if our days as a great nation are numbered.

Are we losing our country? If you consider all the people who are killing one another, then I guess so. Just look at the last two weeks alone and notice how many men have killed their girlfriends, wives and children. Now, that's something to be concerned about.

I'm tired of playing around.
It at the moment seem to be true. We are losing our country to the Mexican people. However a time will come when the Mexican will lose it to some one else. Hopeful back to the American people. Maybe we still have a Chance to save what the enemy has stolen from us. It will take a lot but I believe that most all Americans are in agreement on this thing. We all say Stop the Invasion. So if we fight as hard as the illegals have, for things they are not entitled to, WE THE PEOPLE OF THE U.S may still have a chance. We all have to come together and protest, vote down, and call the government offices ,ect. We have a lot of work ahead but I still believe we can at less stop some of this madness. America can't afford this invasion at some point some one in the white house will have to wake up and see the damage this is doing. I don't know what it will take for them to see it maybe the bottom falling out of our economy. I hope it's before then! sassy is right no more playing around
Not only are we losing our country, we're standing by passively letting it happen. When will the majority of people who know our country is being overrun get mad enough to make some noise in washington ? Shame on the illegal hordes for taking our country - but also shame on us for sitting back and letting it happen.
Don't be afraid to be called a racist by some liberal just because you love our country. Be more afraid of what our country will become if you don't stand up and voice your objections to this terrible invasion.

I agree 100% with CMDRBND007. It is being given away by the people we sent to Washington to represent us. The majority of Mississippi is against Amnesty. We called, emailed, and faxed thousands messsages to Trent Lott, and he completely ignored us! Just like he didn't know who we were! We were apalled! How did he get so out of touch with his constituents? It was like he had been brainwashed! He did NOT CARE what we wanted. He kept saying, it's better to do something, than do nothing. Well, what about enforcing the laws that are already in place? Build the fence. Fine those who employ illegals. Deport. (Yes we can!) All of the above won't cost the 2.6 Trillion Dollars projected to legalize and support them.
What do you do when you can't impeach, when you have no recall law? He has five more years as Senator. I expect the next thing he will attempt to do is to stiffle talk radio. He has already made the comment "talk radio is running America, and something has to be done about that". We have a strong talk radio station here that keeps us informed on what our elected officials are doing. This tells me he doesn't want us to know. He either thinks we can't read, or he has forgotten about the internet.
If 80% of Americans were against Amnesty, my senator wasn't the only one who forgot his constituents. What can we do to save OUR county? We have to clean house, and elect people who will put America and Americans first. We have got to start asking questions, and holding them accountable. We have to be dilligent. We can't wait until they act as they have regarding this Amnesty bill. We can call, email and fax them anytime we need to. We pay for the lines, and the numbers can be found at Congress.org, or U.S. Senate. Petitions can be signed at www.grassfire.org as well as many other places.just look around.
Start calling your Senators, ask them to vote NO to Amnesty. Don't wait, they are planning a vote as early as Thursday.
