Yea I learned that in 4th grade I think. I also remember a war where Mexico got its rear end handed to it in a paper bag and the United States gained control of the area when Mexico begged for peace.

Mexico was once part of spain and The United States was once part of brittain along with India, canada, australia, some of africa, and many other countries. Not too mention the territories owned by the french.
The point is that the illegals want to be in america not mexico. If the southwest was still part of mexico, the illegals would simply jump the new fence because california, new mexico, arizona, texas, and nevada would be as bad and corrupt as mexico.
