Can you still get citizenship even if you were deported?
Answer:
You are fine. If the deportation was an issue you wouldn't have been able to get your Residency Card. You are also now eligable to apply for citizenship. Provided that you haven't committed any Felony offenses collected social security, or public assitance.
And on the off chance tried to over through the U.S. Government. lol
You're fine.
your okay been a legal resident "green card holder for 6 year's" right!!!
you wasn't deported which wont mean you cannot return to this country for a minimum of 10 years .
you left voluntarily big difference and now entitle to apply for citizenship.
This is my personal opinion, but i think that if you were deported at such a young age and had no real control over coming here to begin with you shouldn't have any issues with gaining citizenship. You will need to check with your county's policies and standards for the actual answer.
Your status when you were 9 does not effect anything at age 24.
It sounds to me like you were not deported. Deportation is a legal procedure. It sounds like your family voluntarily deported themselves without a court order. Additionally, you were a minor at the time.
I don't see why you should have a problem.
It sounds like you were not deported, you 'volutarily left' and I think the point of that is that it is NOT treated as formal deportation. It may come up, (and probably will) but if that is all there is, I don't think it will stop you from becoming a citizen now that you are doing it properly.
