Cyclops, Social Security has been being drained by every Republican President we've had.I think a few Democrats too.They use it like an open bank account withdrawing but not returning.Illegal immigrants at least get it somewhat back by paying taxes {not all but many do}and never being able to get it in return.You know the jobs they do isn't just picking lettuce and tomatoes right?Our # 1 export is grain.We can't fill these jobs with Americans it's been tried over and over.I'm not saying Americans are lazy don't take that wrong.Americans tho are spoiled.How many will go into work on a holiday because the weather finally allowed the field work to resume?They don't.They either don't answer their phone or say they have plans.Our country can't afford to lose our exporting power or money.Or we will become a third world nation.Then what will all of us do?Everyday we become more and more dependent on China and India for our goods.This is not good if people would take a real look at it.We're putting ourselves in a very awkward position globally and I for one don't want to be in that position.We NEED workers who will produce the goods and we aren't cutting it as Americans to fill that need.

Ok one eye, explain how you reached all those conclusions. These immigrants would be good to help keep Social Security financed especially with all the baby boomers about to recieve it.
I agree with you in part. I can see a potential for tax increases, but the only political parties who benefit are the ones who are able to get the immigrant vote.
How do you see big business benefitting from this? Tax increases hurt businesses too, sometimes more than they do individuals.
You make a great point abourt social security, considering that many current illegals could be elligible for social security, sucking more money from the fund!

It will not cost more but less. Try again. They need to get rid of them the illegels. It will also cuase a dramtic decrease in violent crimes. I want safer streets for my kid.

They don't pay taxes but earn money here and it would open up employment for americans that is much needed.
No more welfare, food stamps, subsided living, free hoomes, cars, grants, college tutiion, special programs in schools to accomdant non speaking illelels, bus rides to school, school books, clohtes, medical care, hosipital bills, legal aid, and the list goes on and on and on. Things my kid can't get and I'm a US citizen as he is.
Not to metion jails, tax dollars to get them off of the streets, extra police men, overtime to the cops that are there, the moeny that goes in to catching them after killing Americans, the graves they pay for from the gang bangers, court costs that are free to them.where do you see cheaper by keeping them?
Besides who said freedom is less? Social Security is going bankrupt with or without illegals they have nothing to do with it. I say deport them all!
i have to agree with you on this. in my town food is going up. we are going to be so screwed, up we may never see light again.
Of course it will raise our taxes, just implementing and processing these folks alone will raise our taxes. Yes their taxes will offset some of this but how much do you think they will be making? Isn't the whole point that they are cheap labor? Cheap labor receives low wages, which pay little or no taxes and most seem to forget that according to our own tax laws MOST of them would be entitled to Earned Income Credits (assuming they are paid at minimum wage, of course). As well as other government assistance.

I read your post and somewhat agree with you but if you think the United States can compete against India and China in the manufacturing of goods you are in for a let down, think about it... The cost of living in both those areas are drastically, less than ours, what would you have us do replace all our factory and manufacturing jobs with illegal workers? How much do you plan to pay these poor souls $1 per hour? We must find another way we CAN NOT COMPETE AGAINST CHINA AND INDIA in manufacturing and exporting. If we are not VERY careful we are going to have the wealthy and extreme poverty. If we lower factory and manufacturing jobs to compete with China and India how in the world can these folks live in the US? We have a much higher cost of living than many other countries, and what in heavens name will this do to our own unskilled working class all the way up to middle class? It will send shockwaves thru those classes.
By the way I am not saying I know the answer to this problem because I am at a loss as to how to fix this myself, I watched the Senators last night fighting because some of the Senators wanted to put a provision in this bill to protect the American unskilled and factory workers because they are just now admitting that this may harm some of our citizens (go figure) and the other Senators were saying that if we put the amendment in it will hurt illegals, business and maybe even our people?
